Team option I hope? IMO that means this guy is serious about returning to the game by risking what his comeback money could look like. Especially in this market.

It makes little sense for Sanders to agree to a team options for the min.

That said, great job by Griff is that is the case.

It makes less sense for us to extend him a Player Option.

There is certainly enough baggage and uncertainty associated with Sanders to justify us including a Team Option after a couple months of play.

Ultimate definition of low risk/high reward.

My confidence in the Cavs has been rock bottom the past couple weeks but this is at the least a shot in the arm.
 
Just realized how little basketball he's played the last 4 years..

My guess is that there will be a second year. The negotiation was probably whether the second year was a team option, or guaranteed on both sides.
