Has anyone said or does anyone know WHY he isn't there? Does he just not want to go? Does he have something going on? Freddie keeps saying it's best for OBJ to "right emotionally and physically" before being with the team full time. Is he still emotionally struggling with the trade?

I am not super upset about him not being here, but obviously I would like to have him here. Build some connections with your teammates. Learn the playbook. Get some timing. Etc.

I just wonder WHY he isn't here, especially since he was just with the team yesterday? Is he really getting on a jet and flying in and out somewhere new every day or 2 or what?

I believe it was intimated he has a few prior commitments......be it sponsorship things, vacation, etc.

Giants initial OTA's were scheduled prior to the draft, so if he had been planning his off-season schedule, he would not have considered the dates when Browns voluntary work was happening. Their (NYG) next round was set to be next week, (20th-23rd).....so I'm sure there are things he was scheduled to tend to prior to that off-season work.

It honestly speaks volumes, in terms of his commitment to the organization, that he would show up (even 1 day), to something that was not in his off-season plans. I tip my cap to him.

I would imagine we’re looking at something legit because, frankly, this isn’t something someone in the field or fringe of being in the field would tweet as a joke or to mislead. You’d check your sources multiple times to confirm.

You make this up, your career is over.

15.5K followers, followed by Chris Mortenson, I’m sure he was told this. Doesn’t mean what he was told is well-rooted, however. We’ll see on Monday.

Some might say, “Well, how come it didn’t come from someone more reputable first?” My logic behind that is that this is Odell’s truth to tell and tell when he wants. There may be many more reputable who remain silent who know—including Kim Jones—who are waiting for him to say it himself. It was always going to be a fringe-field figure with real sources with enough desperation for breaking a story to outweigh the morality of letting OBJ to do this on his own time.

That said, if true, extremely brave move by Beckham.

This has been a long time coming in the NFL, and it says something that he’s comfortable enough to live his life embracing who he is. Unprecedented in sports in general given the star level he’s achieved.

Society has come a long way, but the NFL locker room, on the field chatter, and an Ohio fan base will have a few knuckleheads out there. Our own special teams coordinator has made regretful comments in the past.

If this is true, here’s to him being strong enough to shoulder those more unfortunate situations that will surely follow while he becomes the face of something much bigger than sports in general.

Edit: He was “hacked.” Yeah, ok.

I hate the idea of the fanbase calling him names or something if he makes an error or acts out. But if he’s confident enough to disclose it publicly theb its unlikely he gives a fuck — for which I am happy.

And if he’s not right, he should receive enough backlash to end his entire media career—if there was one.
He doesn’t have a career. Like literally no one respects this guy or sources him. He throws shit against the wall like an incarcerated bob and is rarely ever right

All that said. I’d he is right, cool. Who cares. And I don’t mean that in a dismissive way towards OBJ. If he’s gay, awesome. If he’s straight, awesome.

I could give a shit what he does in his personal life. Catch passes and score touchdowns. That all I care about.

I was living in Minnesota when the whole Kluwe thing happened.

Kluwe is a good guy. Very gracious.

Fair enough.

Let me rephrase:

I would hope someone wouldn’t make this up. False or not, I hope he actually heard it from his sources because it’s reckless and dangerous otherwise. It’s disrespectful even if he is correct, considering it’s not his news to share.
