Why did we waste the associate HC title on Freddie Kitchens?
Browns fans will literally get upset about anything.

That title should be used to steal a good coach from a team by giving them a higher title. We could have gotten a good ST coach and given them the AHC title instead of getting someone who was already available.
If they did, you’d have probably made the same comment without knowing who they were either.
Even if you had any idea who those people were, you could make the argument that some people view Kitchens as a coordinator in waiting and came from the Bruce Arians tree.
That literally is what you’re describing.
But you can’t give me one good reason to not hire the guy...
On Kitchens switching to RB coach, Arians said:
“It’s natural for Freddie to take over another position and expand his resume because he’ll be a coordinator soon.”
Why are you getting so sensitive about this? I at no point said kitchens wasn’t good. Just that that title should be used to steal someone away from another team who’s under contract.
Is there a reason Haley isnt official yet?
He is.
I gave up trying to figure out what Haslam's strategy is or if he even has one a long time ago regarding Hue. When we disagreed about how inevitable Hue's firing was or if Hue would accept a strong OC I was just going by the actual words spoken by Haslam and Hue as well as some simple logic to form my opinion that Haslam was going to keep Hue around and make sure we added a play calling OC.Right. I assume that was a decision forced on Hue, but maybe not.
In any case, Haley is a legit threat to replace Hue, so hopefully we'll go 0-4, Hue gets fired, and we reel off 12 straight.
Alright, I've decided on the new OC I'd like the Browns to target. And I'm finally at the point where he's the guy until he laughs in the Browns faces and hangs up the phone.
Vikings assistant Kevin Stefanski. He is currently the QB coach, but has held multiple position coach jobs on the offensive staff for twelve years. He's the son of NBA front office staple Ed Stefanski. Minnesota doesn't usually go after free agents, they develop draft picks. Stefanski has played a role in that development, along with getting Case Keenum up to speed after unexpected injuries to Bridgewater and then Bradford.
If the Browns are targeting a successful QB or other position coach to become the OC, the best are working with the successful quarterbacks right now and getting ready for the playoffs. I believe - no confirmation - Zampese is earmarked as the next QB coach, but the same reason he'd be a bad fit as an OC is the same reason another fired retread from another struggling team isn't the right move. Get a young guy who has been successful. They can also retain former Vikings running backs coach Kirby Wilson to work with him.
DeFilippo is the hottest name among QB coaches, but keep an eye on Stefanski.
Look at your boy scouting out Stefanski a full year ago...
