And being a Cavs fan is making you unrealistic about this upcoming offseason. We’d have to land a top 10 player in a trade/free angency AND strike gold with the draft pick (rookie playing out of this world right out the gates, or trade pick for a star) to have a punchers chance in finals...only doing one of those would NOT put us back in business for title contention.

We are so far off from a championship caliber team its delusional to think otherwise. Sure if everything goes well...we can construct something that has a punchers chance in the finals....

BUT...at Lebrons age...I doubt he wants to be On a team that only has a punchers chance, it would mean him carrying us again. I’d imagine him wanting to be in a situation that evens the playing field against the Warriors...I doubt there is anything he can do to accomplish that...but he will try.

You don’t think everyone here knows that?

I support the team, and will have faith that they will take steps to improve. Will they? Probably not since they aren’t in a position to, but it’s a possibility. Being a fan means you support the team no matter what.

Again, you don’t even sound like a fan. Just another LeBron follower.

This thread literally makes no sense

You say if he chooses to leave then list Cleveland as an option?

This site has been way too RealLeBronFans lately. Why is it that almost every other player in the NBA is expected to be patient and work things out with their team but every single year LeBron gets a pass for

Also this is the middle of a fucking playoff run. And only 50% of people voted Cavs.

If he leaves I won't root for him. I will actually root for the Warriors. LeBron isn't the Cleveland Cavaliers and the way you guys fucking treat him like it'd be an honor if he stayed has gotten so over the top. Kobe had years where his team fucking blew I doubt the Lakers fans were hoping he could go to greener pastures. And they worked it out. Why is it that if LeBron doesn't have a title contention team around him every single year he has the green light to just go wherever from you guys? A leigh way afforded to nobody else of his caliber in history

It's such a fucking weird thought process. What if LeBron goes to Philly and Embiid suffers an injury the first year and they get bounced by Boston? Should LeBron leave again? Gotta optimize it every year?

This thread sums up why I've mostly been sticking to the Browns section lately. I'm honestly at a loss that so many people seem to value LeBron and his career more than the actual Cleveland Cavaliers
Can't
compare Kobe's situation with LeBron because back then it was only a matter of time before the Lakers would get it right and they did. Secondly Kobe was not at the end of his prime. He still had time on his side. Finally MJ which many say is the greatest walked away after six championship because he refused to go through a building phase. Cleveland is not a place where great free agents go to play. That is a fact. I would like LeBron to stay in Cleveland for my own reasons but if he decides to go somewhere else that has a much better chance of winning I wish him the best.

Just because I’m not optimistic doesn’t mean I don’t support the Cavs. Im just saying what I think Lebrons thought process will be after this season.

In my opinion, Lebrons number 1 priority is rings... I’m sure he’d love to win more here and I’d love it too but...it seems unlikely we could create that opportunity for him here, which is why I think he’s gone.

It would really suck for him to leave a second time but it wouldn’t hurt as much as the first time (I think, not sure how I will react yet) because: A) we got a title B) the thought of the warriors winning another one makes me wanna vomit

I pray we find a way to turn this thing around this off season and keep Lebron. But if not, then whatever...I just hope Warriors don’t win.

Because LeBron's career is more valuable and important in the context of NBA history than the whole of Cavaliers'. Besides, you guys don't or ever did deserve him to be playing for the Cavs.

My goodness. Pathetic blind team fandom summed up there pretty much.

You’re claiming being a Cavs fan is “pathetic”. What are you even doing here then?

Criticism of the team is fine, but if you aren’t watching them no matter who is on the team or what they are doing, you aren’t a fan.

I'm kind of torn on this.

I'm a die-hard Cavs fan, and will be for life whether LeBron is here or not. On one hand, of course I want him here to finish his career. Best player on the planet, Akron kid, it would make so much sense to stay.

On another hand, in today's day and age too many folks rank players based off of number of rings. I think that's silly personally, and since LeBron already has 3 it shouldn't be THAT relevant. But, if he and his circle believe that 2-3 more rings are essential to solidify his legacy, and he believes that's more possible elsewhere, then so be it.

The biggest thing for me is -- we HAVE to get rid of Lue. Immediately. We have to find a coach that can get the most out of our other guys. Every good player we've signed/traded for has gotten worse since coming here. How can that happen? A good coach can come in and make guys like Hood, Clarkson, Nance etc. REALLY solid players. If LeBron is going to stay, a coaching change is job #1. After that, we do need to tweak our roster and try to find another legitimate play-maker because we clearly do not have that.

Brian Scalabrine is an idiot.

Dude said Toronto will be the last series with LeBron in a Cleveland uniform. - that's not the idiotic part

He says New York is LeBron's perfect fit and should go there, because why? New York. Don't look at it as the Knicks, just New York.

Hahahahahaha

That's where you are wrong. One person's career, no matter how great is not more important than a team's entire history.

You've made it clear you aren't a Cavs fan, which means you don't really need to be on a forum called REAL CAVS FANS.

You're right. Lue has to go. He's got no clue what he's doing.

This is not true. I live overseas and people know LeBron but some have no clue who he plays for. Secondly Lebrons popularity adds billions to the NBA whereas if the Cavs lost the franchise outside of Cleveland no one would care. The Cavs are known because of LeBron not the other way around.

Man fuck this thread ... I can't believe we are in a playoff run and all these things where is LeBron gonna go threads keep popping up... I get it from the national media but no Real Cavs Fans should be starting this shit while we're battling for a title regardless of how slim you think our chances are

I put my vote in for Cleveland due in large part to, I think he wants his son at Akron St. Vincent St. Mary.

This.

@InBoobieWeTrust @Randolphkeys @PIP

Someone PLEASE do something about this horseshit. It's an embarrassment to this forum to have this in Cavs Talk while we're still actively pursuing a championship.

Why hasn't this been move to Around the NBA where it belongs???
