Will RCF be able to survive trade deadline?

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Do you know how much I like the down time? To be honest, I really don't.

Please don't lose everything good about our site. It's little times like these that remind me of the fear from massive overload...

Make sure to back this bitch up often, had a very unfortunate incident at my other forum :(

ZOMG!! HE USED A VERY POPULAR GIF ON THE INTERNET THAT YOU ONCE POSTED AND DIDN'T GIVE YOU THANKS FOR IT?!?!?!?! OH THE HUMANITY!!!!!!!

Yeah, they aren't necessary all the time, but they are definitely necessary when I'm making fun of you for freaking out because someone used a popular gif and you feel that you are entitled to rep because you posted it once.[/QUOTE]

I'm so sorry.......

I have my fears about the TD also. I know the site didn't work for me for at least an hour after Sandiata Gaines hit that shot.

the site as helded pretty good in the last couple of days (well it was down monday or tuesday morning at like 6am) but with a constant traffic of 200-300 people clicking on various trade threads in the last 2 days it has been fine.

While obviously that is nothing compared to what we will see if everything comes down to the trade deadline I think the site has been running as smoothly as it has in a while. Generally when there are a lot of people it slows down a little but I havent experienced anything recently.

im cautiously optimistic everything will be just fine. now i have to decide if i want to take a half day on trade deadline day or not

Site was down for a good 2 hours from 02/04/10 @ 11:30pm-ish till 02/05/10 @ 1:30am-ish, EST.

The concerns will always be there... until the site can absorb downtime like those bigger sites, like the NBA or Cavs.com

Regardless, I'll stomach it because it's worth it, but I expect downtime during the deadline, hope it won't be too long...

It actually seemed longer to me. More like 4-5 hours.

Could just be because i was working, though :chuckles:
