Worst Sports Injuries

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
One photo floating around shows his left leg bone sticking out, but he injured his right leg. I'm obviously not going to post it here but it supposedly shows him on a stretcher with some doctors around and people with cell phone cameras.

That's not the one i was talking about. The one i was referring to is taken at the game, it's a close up right after the injury occurs.

Holy fuck. Yep. That's right up there.

Look at the face of the guy above the UPS logo.

I've destroyed my knee twice, but never actually broken a bone. How bad is the pain and how quickly does it go away without meds? Anyone have bone go through skin? That seems like it would feel like getting stabbed.

As shocking as this might sound, an injury like Kevin Ware's isn't as difficult to come back from as some of the more common knee injuries such as a torn ACL. With the proper treatment, bones can heal quite well while ligaments have very little capacity for healing/regenerating. It is possible that Ware could be able to play next season. Well, he should at least be physically ready, but being ready mentally is a whole other story. Many props to Kevin Ware for being the most calm person there, and telling his teammates that he's fine and to go finish the game strong. All that being said, that injury is disgusting, and I hope that never happens to me. Hoping for a speedy recovery for Kevin Ware.

Here are some of the reactions to seeing the injury:

Broke my ankle two weeks ago, but with mainly ligament damage. Physio thinks it will be 10 weeks before I even think about playing basketball again, and that I'll most likely need a reconstruction later on in life. Luckily I'm 19, so hopefully my age helps with the healing process. Couldn't imagine having a bone going through my skin, though. Shit's out of a horror movie
