So I don't understand why Incognito and Martin's name are clearly displayed on some of this stuff yet you see some of this "Player A" and "Player B". If you are going to name 1-2 guys why aren't you naming the rest?

Player B: Yes. That's a solid optic made specifically for a .308 battle rifle

Incognito: Perfect for shooting black people

Player B: Lol exactly

Player B: Or Jeff Ireland

:chuckles::chuckles::chuckles::chuckles:

I like the 10k fine for not going to Vegas, and the 100$ fine for being subpoenaed by the FBI.

With a culture like this, the Dolphins are NEVER going to be good. Cut the cancer out of their locker room this instant. You don't see the Patriots, Steelers, Packers, Seahawks, and Broncos doing this shit. I could give two fucks about the Dolphins, but that is ridiculous.

Text transcripts might make some people change their minds about the general interaction between Incognito and Martin. It was all entirely mutual. AND Incognito seemed to be actually looking out for him and including him in group activities for the most part.

meh, I read a lot of the text and I was, as I suspect you were, a little surprised.

I was expecting a one sided bashing of J. Martin while it came across more as two buddies bullshitting back and forth.
Maybe it was some sort of "defense mechanism" being displayed by Mr. Martin. Trying to fit in with "the guys". Who really knows beside Martin himself?

At any rate, I think the whole thing is overblown. Martin clearly has some issues, and I don't think it's a stretch to say Incognito may as well, but that could be said about most of the guys who become professional athletes.

PS Incognito is a bad-ass last name.

Serious lack of leadership in that locker room. I'm sure just about every team has a personality like Richie Incognito, and guys like that definitely have their uses- but you don't make a guy like that into a team leader/authority figure.

Couldn't disagree more. This is a fascinating look on a frat culture going out of control. Social Psychology at it's finest, up there with the Powder Puff Girls of Chicago story. All of Martin's involvement sounded to me like "trying to fit in" and not at all like someone he is. He was bullied to the point where he was torturing himself emotionally for not being able to stop it.

I know my guy code. I talk a ton of shit and I take a ton of shit. But I will NEVER talk shit to the guy who isn't like that or if I detect I pushed a button, I will apologize. If there's one weak guy, super-beta type, in the room, I would boost him up and talk shit about the other guys, and anyone who I talk shit to it's always to their face and it's always because we are that close. This is not that, and this is an intriguing look into a group of guys that were just plain out of control. Spineless, deranged, and egotistical, these guys are going to get what they deserve, and I don't think it should be downplayed.

I'm not sure why you felt it necessary to quote me out of context and then proceed to make essentially the same claims as me except to add the fact that you personally find it "a fascinating look on a frat culture going out of control. Social Psychology at it's finest"

This does not fascinate me in the slightest, this happens everyday to high school kids, and adults in the workplace. This is nothing fascinating, this is a typical example of the way things are. The only reason we are talking about it is because it took pace in a workplace that happens to be a franchise of a multi-billion dollar company.

Social Psychology at its finest? This is nothing more than a soap opera, so by all mean continue watching 'As The Dolphins Turn'..

Where I work shit like this goes on every 5 minutes. Not saying its okay but people need to learn to loosen up. With 53 guys in the locker room there should have been a group where they should have said something or included Martin in their group. This is happening 10/10 times where there are multiple alpha males in one place for any amount of time. Especially a professional football team.

Edit---Just read most of the first 20 pages of the Wells' report. I maybe a little wrong lol. These guys went a little far but why didn't anyone d anything about this. Its a bunch of high school punks.

I quoted the part of the post that I disagreed with enough to spend the time to debate about. I often read quickly and miss things and this might be the case... At any rate, I can sense that you feel personally attacked by your tone. Now I disagree with the way that I feel you are marginalizing this - not that I expect you to change your mind from hearing me out, but - if this is happening everywhere, what better platform to demonstrate the consequences than that of an NFL Team? A high profile case like this would clearly have implications for other groups that are apparently everywhere. Heck, even if it is commonplace, it doesn't make it any more acceptable... Stu please don't write back - the subject clearly doesn't interest you - there's plenty of other places to post on the board (and in cyberspace) where the subject-matter isn't so run-of-the-mill. For the sake of e-clutter, move on.

While I love debate and do have many interests including studying psychological and physiological interaction, debating a condescending know it all over the internet does not interest me..

I bid you good night Sir.

Oh look, here come the PC police. A man can't insult your mother, call you a N*****, and steal 30,000 dollars from you anymore. What has this world come to. If you can't take that in stride you're a bitch.
