WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Roode is pretty damn good, so glad he jumped ship from TNAss.

Seems like he's been on NXT getting milked for a little too long now. In my opinion, this should be his last match here. Maybe his name will draw me back to Raw or SD.

Pray he loses it to someone of value, and not McIntyre.

Also, feel bad for all the guys who have to wrestle tomorrow because there's zero chance it's better than the show tonight.

Why the hate for McIntyre? He's been good so far in NXT, and he was pretty well regarded all over the world after he got cut from WWE the first time and really put in the work.

He's just boring to me. He was boring in ICW where he was supposed to be a mega-heel versus fucking Grado. He was boring in spot matches at PWG. He was really boring tonight.

I thought the main event was fine. It was a solid ***1/2 star match. Also, I think Roode is to blame more than McIntyre, as Roode is one of those guys I feel tops out at four stars rather than five like Finn Balor. He's consistently solid, though.

To each their own!

I hope AoP goes to Smackdown and runs train and that Roode goes to RAW.

If nothing else, I think AOP came out of this having proven that they are an elite tag team. It's one thing to have amazing matches with DIY and Revival, but the match tonight was damn near just as good as their last several and their opponent, while good, wasn't on that DIY/Revival "best in the business" stratosphere.

I don't think you can continue to have matches that good and not be at least part of the reason.

Totally agreed.

I literally love AOP. Like Sheamus/Cesaro would be awesome against them.

Smackdown just needs them more.

The only downside of getting called up is that the main roster tag division is just such an afterthought right now. Vince doesn't care about tag team wrestling and it shows. They won't get a platform to put on matches like their Takeover performances regularly with Vince in charge, which is sad.

I don't want anyone to get called up to the main roster. Especially singles competitors to the main event scene on Raw. They've clearly just set up a spot for Reigns to win it all and everyone ends up looking weak in comparison. I think the NXT storytelling has been far superior to the main roster. Hell, most people weren't very excited for this PPV and they turned out a show better than Wrestlemania. It's incredible to me how with a main roster as talented as it is, they still go to the same well over and over again. We also don't get the indy scene debuts and run ins like NXT. If I was told I could only watch one or the other, I'd stick to NXT at this point. Takeover was incredible. Asuka/Moon was probably the best match of the night for me. Asuka's attitude is just great, and her camera work is better than anyone else. I can't give any of the matches less than a 4/5. Even Roode and McIntyre was great. I didn't know Drew could do half those things. That Roode counter into his finisher was a great spot.

New Day versus Usos is setting the bar way too high.

No one is gunna touch this.
