Well, it was kind of actually a house show. Not sure what people expected. I didn't bother watching. I'll check out Backlash next Sunday though.

To be frank, I did not expect much. It was clear to me that this was just fan service.
But it was so god damn boring, jesus. Everybody looked jet lagged and put up terrible performances. AJ and Nakamura were ok, but nowhere near their usual selves. Hell, the fucking cruiser weights were applying rest holds for crying out loud! Huge waste of time.

Lesnar-Reigns ending was botched fucking big time too, with the announcers CLEARLY stating that both feet have to touch the floor to win the match, and a minute later they fall through the thing and Lesnar doesn't touch the floor WITH ANY PART OF HIS BODY while Reigns rolls over and supposedly wins the match.
It was a complete shit show.

Anyway, on a different note - Asuka/Charlotte/IIconics is the most engaged in a female feud I've been since Micky and Trish.

Well, the issue is that they promoted it like it was the biggest show of the year. It got more of a build than fucking Wrestlemania.

Seriously. Would it have been that big of a deal to just give the winner a shot at the title? Like wtf is the point of a trophy and belt?

No idea why they didn't do that. Would have been so easy. If they didn't want to promise the winner a match at Summerslam, fine, but maybe just say they get a shot at an upcoming event of their choosing. Then, you have Braun pick an event where Brock will be there and give them a match, or hell have him challenge Styles/Nakamura (whoever wins).

The real question I have now is...who the fuck is going to finally beat Brock? Or are they going to run an awful storyline where Roman keeps bitching about how he got screwed (his feet hit first) because Brock is Vince's boy? Even though trying to pull that shit has backfired spectacularly and led to the crowd shitting all over the main event of Wrestlemania.

I'm guessing the latter, because fuck us.
 
I don't know what you guys are talking about... Titus slipping under the ring was one of the greatest moments I've ever witnessed. Everything else was shit, but that was totally worth it.

Michael Cole's Messiah botch was equally hilarious. Two best parts of the show, sadly.
 
Speaking of Cole, the guy is just an idiot and is spoon fed information to make him seem smarter.

When Jericho entered the GRR, Cole said look, he brought his light up jacket, Graves killed him for it and said it's a scarf.

That was another funny botch by the idiot Cole.

During the Royal Rumble, Roderick Strong entered. At some point after that, he turned some move into a backbreaker. His nickname, of course, is "the Messiah of the backbreaker." Cole said, "They call him the Messiah..." And then there's just this horrified pause while he remembers he's in Saudi Arabia before Graves finishes the sentence for him and gives him some shit for it. I was dying laughing when it happened.

The whole thing was dumb. It's a fucking nickname. I doubt any Saudis would be truly offended by it. It simply means he's really good at backbreakers.

Catching these shows on Hulu is just way better. Soon as i see the women i fast forward. Soon as i see a tag match, BYE. A lot of ppl said the Seth Rollins Authority stuff was WWEs lease creative shit and i just can’t agree. Rollins was amazing as a chicken shit heel. He was shady AF but when forced into having a match with no help from j and j he managed to find ways to beat good guys clean. He was the last heel i really hated but was also invested in seeing loss. Jinder Mahal got there too for me but for the wrong reasons. He was trash and the direct reason Smackdown fell off so badly after AJ and Dean’s reigns.
