Definitely not a work.

That said...

They won't do it, but they could (should?) easily use Reigns beating cancer as a vehicle for him to become the biggest heel they've had in the modern era.

Have him come out and drop this bomb on the fans - “I beat cancer and I realized I can do anything I fucking want. You people never liked me before. Now I really don’t need you.”

Have him lose the vest. Have him start wearing street clothes and sunglasses. Just remind people that he’s a super good looking dude and have him just revel in being himself. He'd be heated up instantly. And then... after you make him a monster heel who destroys people on the reg, the fans are eventually going to start cheering him because fans naturally like to root for dominant bad asses.

Give it a year and you'll have your mega over babyface superhero.

It's a much different discussion. WWE partners with Susan G and I highly doubt they would be happy about WWE using cancer as a poly in a storyline. Let alone pushback from fans and advertisers.

I'm willing to bet people give more of a shit about someone faking cancer than a foreign nation killing their own people.

I’m kind of intrigued by the Batista match, HHH has been putting guys over for a couple years, I’d assume that wont change with this match.
Roman, loved seeing him back. I’m gonna assume he will be against Drew or have Dean turn on him too. Can go many of ways.

They teased Corbin last night for Reigns
 
Will be interesting to see how the Smackdown title scene plays out. Seems to me like they're building toward a big Wrestlemania moment for Kofi.

KO is coming back with a lot of momentum though, so maybe we get a triple threat match with those two plus Bryan.

Would be pretty lazy even by WWE standards to literally use the exact same plot for both the Smackdown title and the Raw women's title.
