WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Shouldnt a ginger match be a main event or something

It's so strange and refreshing to watch an episode of Raw that's actually entirely focused on actual wrestling.

Was Ric Flair shit-faced last night or something? He's slurring words like mad in this promo.

God the fact that they had to make Styles go out to the ring and suck Roman's dick last night is just absurd. They're not getting him over. They just need to fucking accept it and either turn him heel or give the belt to someone else.

It's not as if there's no one else. Rollins is going to be over, heel or face. Styles is insanely over, and the crowd would have eaten it up if he had won last night. Owens is as over as a heel can get and still draw respect boos for his antics. Zayn could be the next Daniel Bryan if they book him right. They've got Nakamura waiting in the NXT wings, and he could be the next big thing. Balor is probably coming to the main roster sometime soon, and he's another guy they could make into a huge draw. And while Ambrose has been pretty disappointing in the ring for a long while now, he's still over enough to be the top guy. Hell, the New Day are so over they could easily transition Big E into a major player in the singles division given a few months to build him up.

It's just insane to me that they don't just go in another direction at this point.

I couldnt agree more. The Roman thing needs to end. Lex Luger was more over than this guy. He literally brings nothing to the table.

It's also gotten to the point where the fans aren't going to accept him regardless of how much he improves. He's just getting X-Pac heat at this point. People just want him to go away.

The Wrestlemania booing should have been the last straw. I mean they had to mute an entire arena of boos when they closed out their biggest show of the year. I almost feel bad for him. WWE keeps trying to force him down our throats. If they took more time with him and kept him out of the main event for maybe another year or two, maybe...just maybe he could have been something. Now hes damaged goods.

We're better off just cheering roman. Then Vince will think we love him and maybe take the title off him

Who fills the next two Mitb spots. perhaps Cena and Del Rio?

Del Rio won on Smackdown, so he's in. Cena is a definite possibility, but god I hope he's not in there, because if he is you know he's going to win. That said, it may be more likely that he guns for the US or IC title upon his return. I just don't see the point of Cena having the briefcase. He's won the world title over a dozen times. He shouldn't need it to get back into the title picture. The briefcase typically exists for young guys to get a chance to win their first gold, or occasionally for them to try to re-push mid-card guys (like Sheamus last year). Cena holding it is just an awful idea, and the fans will rebel against it.

Rumors are on Bray Wyatt taking the final spot which counter the rumur that Bray will return in a promo only fashion while he recovers.

and Id rather see Cena draw the MITB than Feud with Rusev.

Brand split is coming. Smackdown going live on Tuesdays

Doesn't look like he will be feuding with Rusev either. Smackdown tapings make it sound like Titus O'Neil will be challenging Rusev. Whether or not that goes on the next 3-4 weeks to culminate at MITB, I don't know, but I'm hoping it will if for no other reason that it's something different. Be cool to see Wyatt get the last spot in MITB.

Brand split is coming. Smackdown going live on Tuesdays

Just read that... interesting, and I kind of like it. Although, it will be a little bit of overkill on the weeks when there's a PPV on Sunday night, Raw on Monday night, and Smackdown on Tuesday night. I don't have 9 hours in a 3 day span to give to WWE lol. Hopefully this moves Raw back down to 2 hours, as that 3rd hour isn't really necessary if you're splitting the roster in half and having both shows air live.

They haven't had a brand split since 2011, which coincidentally is the time I started watching WWE again. I wasn't a big fan of it back in the early-mid 2000's, and was partly why I stopped paying attention, but that was mainly because they also had the WCW and ECW brands incorporated in it too... so it was just a little bit overwhelming. I think it's a good idea right now though. With the influx of new talent from NXT and elsewhere, along with some top guys coming back from injury, there's only so much screen time and so many feuds you can work at one time. This will help manage that better so deserving midcard guys don't slip between the cracks and become irrelevant.

USA also said that WWE will return to a so-called brand split approach, which will see separate groups of talent and storylines for Raw and Smackdown.

“The fan base for our WWE shows is one of the most passionate and engaged audiences in all of entertainment,” Chris McCumber, president, entertainment networks at NBCUniversal Cable Entertainment, said in a statement. “There is a huge appetite among our viewers for live programming, and the ability to move Smackdown to a live format brings a new level of excitement and helps truly eventize this every week.”

its really happening and there will be a televised draft

Brand splits suck, not a fan.

Del rio qualified? I can all but lock him in for Mr. MITB. Said it a month ago. (Not on here)
Vince loves putting the contract on a guy like Del Rio when it logically should be Owens.
