WWE/NXT/AEW/NJPW Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I read they were very interested in bringing him in as a trainer at the Performance Center. Maybe they'll make him the NXT commentator as well and let Graves focus on Raw.

Hope they combine 205/UK- and he's a commish.

And better yet? Hope that belt goes to progress and icw and we see their shows.

It'll be interesting to see if that belt sticks around as an actual championship or if it's simply a reward for the tournament.

Well, based on Triple H's comments, it seems as if the goal here is to turn this into a weekly show featuring primarily (or perhaps solely) UK talent. I'm on board with that. The more original content on the Network, the better deal it is. It also seems like this is the WWE's attempt to create an NXT in the UK, where they can work with UK promotions to identify and help develop talent that may eventually make their way to the WWE or NXT proper.

I was so excited when I saw this earlier this week. It's an amazing idea and gives me another hour of solid wrestling to pack into my week. As long as the storylines are good I'll definitely watch it. I work 8 hour shifts at a desk. It's crazy to think my job boils down to about 2 hours of actual security job functions and 6 hours of catching up on RAW SD NXT and 205 Live

With the CW and now this new belt you HAVE to believe the MASTER PLAN is to someday put it all on RAW or SD. While it being on its own show is better for the writers I'm sure the talent wants the exposure of Television. Live Television time to wrestlers is like crack cocaine. RAW is doing the CW division a service by still giving them 2 matches on RAW and I hope that continues.

This tourney is 16 competitors so I wonder if it'll be just like the CWC and the guys who are available and have a solid showing get NXT deals. Also have to wonder about the state of NXT. It seems like the hub of new wrestlers. It's almost getting to a point where it's becoming a more desirable destination than RAW or SD. Wonder how Vince is gonna navigate that situation.

There's starting to become a running joke with the internet fan base that refers to getting called up to the main roster as getting called down to the main roster instead.

Damn man the Killshot/Fox match in Lucha Underground was fucking incredible. One of my favorite LU matches.

Killshot would be an absolutely amazing addition to the cruiserweight division. Fox too. These two guys can go.

I think the master plan is providing a worldwide wrestling network That isn't reliant on Cable networks for a major chuck of its revenue.

WWE gets about 2.5 to 3 million viewers on RAW the idea is to get the majority of those viewers subscribed to the network.

I can see WWE hitting 3 or 4 major global markets . being able to generate their own advertising revenue at a premium would be a solid backup option if USA ever decided not to renew the WWE contract.
Although I believe WWE would want to keep a show on basic television to bring in the fans but then again they could offer free and subscribed content on the wwe network if they needed to

I heard a Rumour that the shield will be in effect for the rumble

the military tribute show has new day, the shield and the club with aj styles doing a promo.

Cross branding with the three man groups could be some good stuff if done right. even if its just for crossbrand events.

The WWE are definitely going for a global territory system. So much so that the New Japan president announced that they'll be introducing some things to help combat this.

Well judging from the kickoff match.. there wont be many clean finishes tonight

creative finish for the new day match

I don't want to spoil anything, but there was a pretty interesting shift in the betting odds once the smart money started rolling in

on a side note. I was able to finally watch ambrose on the stone cold prodcast.. he talked about scripting and talked abut the Brock match and confirmed that Brock Lesnar camp wasn't willing to do anything

Neville with the heel turn, this is going to be great for the Cruiserweight division
