You want Sessions? You can have him for nothing

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I think I would rather take a look at Shaun Livingston or Kyle Lowry in free agency over Sessions for an asset.
I'd actually like to see us pick up Livingston. He averaged 15/6/4 in the last 8 games of the year, a small sample size but he is worth giving a shot.

Oh dear god I hope we don't trade for Sessions. I am thinking that if Ridnour doesn't get a better offer that he will likely accept the T'Wolves offer and that would mean that they have three guys that would like to be starters and another guy in a couple years that will definately want to start or not even bother coming to the team. So that may open the door to Flynn or us if we took Jefferson as well. An the TPE should work for the two of them I believe.

Sessions isn't a bad player but the problem right now is that he's not worth the money he's due because he can't shoot and he's torrid on defense...[/QUOTE]

Am I missing something

Any deal involving Sessions better include Big Al or Wesley Johnson. I know the T-Wolves would have a hard time parting with Wesley though, that kid is going to be good. He definately has the potential to develop into an All-star caliber #2 scoring option on a contending team.

CLE receives: T. Lawson, K. Martin, 2012 1st (DEN)

DEN receives: A. Jefferson, A. Jamison, R. Sessions, A. Parker

MIN receives: J.R. Smith, Birdman, 2011 2nd (MIA)

Cleveland gets a young PG for the future and a pick for the year after Melo can leave. Denver might not agree to the pick, but given the value they receive, it's probably worth it for them. We also unload Jamison's contract. We would probably buy out Martin and give Hickson some more burn at PF.

Minnesota gets some good value for Jefferson, not too many others are going to give them a scoring SG for him. They also get the birdman, who is a good defensive frontcourt player for them. In this scenario, they unload a couple of contracts and get a couple decent assets.

Denver is the big winner in all of this. They need more bigs to beat the lakers, so they get a good offensive threat from the post who is an awesome complement to Nene. They get a bench scorer in Jamison, who can also be used at the 3 for them sometimes. Parker gives them a shooter and a defender to fill Smith's void, and Sessions becomes Billups's new backup. After we buy out martin, they could bring him back.

God I hate the trade machine...some of these deals are insane, and always involve one team going crazy by dealing their best pieces for literal garbage.

Look at that gem of a trade:

Cleveland:
Dwight Howard
Iggy

Orlando:
Tawn
Hickson
Powe
Green

Philly:
Mo Williams

Analysis: Philly needs yet another PG, Orlando needs a crippled PF, another Old PF, an unproven young guy, and a young PF, Cleveland needs a Center in Dwight Howard and we need Iggy.

The salaries work out!

Get off your hands Grant! :chuckles:

hmm i'd rather not trade Mo in order to get Iggy, with Dwight we would need all of the spacing possible and Mo is a good shooter. So how about we sign Mike Miller with our current cap space, that means we have to give up the rights to Shaq, Wally, Lorenzan, etc and then we trade our TPE for iggy, and then trade for Dwight.

Here would be my dream trade that's never going to happen.

I think New Orleans would be much more willing to take the Cavs trade exception seeing as how their owner is in financial trouble and looking to sell the team but that's not on there as an option.

The lineup would look like this

PG - Chris Paul
SG - Andre Iguodala
SF - Antawn Jamison
PF - J.J. Hickson
C - Emeka Okafor
