Your 2018 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Anyway, the shitty Indians are only half a game behind the almighty Yankees.
I think you mean one game behind the Minnesota Twins, b/c the Yanks aren't in our division. They also aren't in 1st place, the Red Sox are.

How good would Jay Bruce and his .310 average look out in RF?

A .310 average for Jay Bruce is not something he'd sustain for a whole season, iirc he's only had an average above .260 three times in 11 seasons.

Jay Bruce is a career .249/.319/.472 hitter

He gave a nice jolt of energy for cheap as we made our stretch run last year, but he's not anybody I'd want to commit to for a full season

I have a feeling you'll regret saying that by the time we get to August.

Regardless of what he does, I won't. If he outperforms his performance in recent years/career, good for him. I don't bet on outliers.

If we cant afford him, its one thing. If he has a preferred destination 4 years out....fuck that guy.

This & a lack of salary cap is why I have never gotten all in on baseball. Realistically only a handful of teams can compete year in and year out. Teams like Us, Pitts, Cincy, Milwaukee, Minny, etc only have a true few year window maybe once every 15 years. Even then, how many years are they realistically competing. We are all farm systems for the top 10 franchises.

Could say the same for the NBA, we just aren't a bottom team right now.

I'd bet on him over our hodgepodge of underperforming unknowns.

It is a frickin cold April and we are worried about things already? I mean until we won 22 straight we weren't doing so hot if you guys don't remember from last season. Once this team gets on a roll they will go through every team in their path. They are slow starters and by the end of the season will have won the division. All we need to do is finish the season strong, healthy and win the division. Nothing else matters since these guys will right the ship and be in the playoffs. We will make a trade or two fill in any holes we currently have.

No offense I am not missing a weeks worth of meals so I can hit one game. (Food allergies suck when it comes to keeping a low budget. I don’t have a choice but to spend 400+ dollars a month on groceries since I don’t have time to make everything from scratch) I was gonna buy tickets until I noticed they already had the promotional nights all jacked up in price.

I do what I can to support the team but having to pay back a college degree and having to get a new car takes away a lot of the spending money I had the last few years.
Pro sports in general is not nearly as affordable as 25 to 30 years ago. A club seat when Jacobs field opened was 24 dollars. Even with inflation that same seat now is well over 100 bucks. It is not just the tribe. Very few teams in pro sports are making it affordable to attend games if you want to avoid a horrible seat.

So they are one game behind the 3rd place team in another division. Got it.
Dude this isn't hard to follow

He is referencing Mr. Orange's posting about how the Yankees, Astros, Dodgers and Cubs are so leaps and bounds ahead of us

I've had Mr Orange on ignore for over a year, so no, I don't know.
