Your 2019 Cleveland Indians

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I understand his frustration. Only Martin and Santana have been better hitters than Miller so far. Moroff and Stamets combined have 1/3 as many hits as Miller and each have been punched out in 50% of their plate appearances. Just shows how highly Tito and/or the FO values that their utility guy can play all the infield spots

The front office has been making some questionable roster decisions since last offseason. Not sure I get designating Miller. He’s played at other positions before. Dude is a league average hitter. Just not getting it.

If he could play short he'd still be here.

I also don't understand getting rid of Miller ahead of Stamets or Moroff.

Not sure it'll matter by the end of the month when (hopefully) Kipnis and Lindor are both back in everyday roles.

He’s that shitty at shortstop that they dropped him in favor of Stamets (who shouldn’t be on a major league roster) and Moroff?

I mean I'm sure the question was posed to him or his agent upon signing.

There was ample time in the spring and thus far in the season to get him reps there (in LA as well).

He spent time at 2B, 3B, LF, RF during that time, but not SS. One could reasonably assume that he didn't have an interest in playing there.

Which, quite frankly, sucks. Because offensively he'd be at a league-average pace there until Lindor returns.

I still think you only need one of Moroff/Stamets on the roster to fill that hole until Lindor returns, but like I said, hopefully we're only a week or two out from Lindor's return which makes this a very minor move anyways.

My biggest gripe with the roster is that they gave up on Luplow so early and now have literally no RHB in the OF other than Greg Allen, who is a switch hitter and fares better as a LHB. How is that even possible?

Indians called up Mike Freeman and sent Stamets to Columbus.

Freeman is a career .298 hitter in the minors, but only a career .134 guy in the majors with a career -1.0 WAR, so who fuckin' knows I guess.

Well that's fine. Stamets is like a .040 guy in the Majors.

Frankie won't be in AAA long...he looks incredible right now. Body just needs to respond properly.

Homer and a single tonight so far, I believe

Was he not noticeably limping around 2B here?

Hoping it’s nothing
