1a. Anthony Davis - I really wanted to put Drummond first becuase he is a legit C and has had and incredible pressence even by playing mediocre. But Davis has been spectacular. So good in fact that he looks like an entirely new type of PF. Something I haven't quite seen before.
1b. Anthony Davis' eyebrow - they're a package

2. Jeremy Lamb - can we just give him the POY trophy already? Maybe too early, but Lamb is the best scorer in the nation. He does it in so many different ways. IMO, he would be an ideal fit for the Cavs (well anyone on this list would be but some more than others).

3. Andre Drummond - Some say he's been lazy - i believe he's just taking a while to get accustomed to the game (his performance against FSU was pretty sick). He will be the next generation type of Center (cross between Dwight Howard and McGee). He and Davis are two of the most athletic and skilled bigs I have seen in quite some time.

4. Harrison Barners - haters gonna hate. Most polarizing player on this board. The 1 issue I take with Barnes is that it seems it takes him a while to get going. Perhaps he views it like chess, where he has the patience to set his opponent up and then strikes when they're vulnerable. Cause he absolutely shredded an excellent Wisconsin defense/team in the 2nd half last night.

5. Brad Beal - is he the next Ray Allen? I have no idea. Hs game reminds me more of Eric Gordans actually. Aside from his shooting, Beal has been an exceptional rebounder for a guy his size 6'4 in shoes).

MKG should be in everyone's top 5 until further notice.

1. Anthony Davis- undisputed at this point so far
2. Andre Drummond- subject to change just waiting for more seasoning from him and should start to produce soon
3. Jeremy Lamb- Lethal and would be a great fit next to Kyrie
4. Kidd-Gilchrist- Very athletic and a hard worker no quit in this kid but he needs to refine his offensive game
5. Harrison Barnes/Brad Beal- Both very good shooters but Barnes scares me because it just seems he lack elite athleticism that is needed at the next level

Has anyone watched Terrence Ross or Thomas Robinson at all? Haven't seen either of them play.

1. Anthony Davis - This kid reminds me a ton of Garnett without the psycho. I'm really impressed with how much he effects the game defensively already as an 18 year old. Zeller got the best of him a few times in one on one situations, but Zeller's also got him by probably 50 pounds at this point. I know a lot of people see Davis move so fluidly and think he can play the 3, but I don't really think that's a great idea. It kind of reminds me of the Perry Jones arguments that were flying this time last year. Just because Davis COULD play small forward at this size doesn't mean it would be his best position in the pros. I think he would be best suited to add 25 pounds of muscle and a bunch of lower body strength and settle into being a power forward at the next level. I still love his potential both offensively and defensively.

2. Andre Drummond - He hasn't been consistently dominant yet, or even consistently good for that matter, but you see the flashes of potential greatness (12 pts, 10 rebs, 7 blks, 3 stls against a strong FSU squad). I'm really in love with the fact that Drummond is going to come into the league as one of the few legitimate centers. I think his potential is off the charts given his size and athleticism. He might take a little time to develop like Andrew Bynum did, but I definitely believe he's worth the wait. If Anthony Davis hadn't looked so good so fast, I'd have Drummond as my #1 prospect still.

3. Harrison Barnes - I definitely agree with Damage in the sense that Barnes is likely going to be the most talked about prospect by Cavs fans moving forward. People seem to either love his size, shooting ability, and defense or hate his seemingly inability to do much off the dribble and his lack of elite athleticism. I personally like the kid a lot. He might not be a super duper star at the next level, but he should be a guy that can score 17-20 a night in the league. The real question is, can you afford to pick someone who is likely only going to be "very good" at the next level? I can't say Barnes will ever make an all-star team.

4. Jeremy Lamb - Kind of the anti Harrison Barnes. Another very good wing prospect, but is basically Barnes' complete opposite. Lamb doesn't have an NBA ready body like Barnes does, isn't as good of a defender, and most definitely doesn't have the same silky jump shot from three that Barnes has (although Lamb can certainly shoot from midrange and CAN make threes). On the other hand, Lamb is an absurd athlete and is a significantly better ball handler and scorer in the lane than Barnes is currently. Lamb's improvements as a shooter have been a really pleasant surprise early on this season. I don't know how much muscle he can add to his frame, but if he keeps developing his jumper, he'll be a dynamic offensive player at the next level.

5. Michael Kidd-Gilchrist - This kid is a bowling ball. He's not much of a shooter, but he seems to love contact and physical play. With his lack of a consistent jumper/handle, I think he's much better suited as a 3 at the next level, but man he plays hard as hell. Tremendous rebounder, physical defender, shows no fear of contact whatsoever. But again, much like Harrison Barnes, I just don't know if he has super star potential. He seems like an ultimate glue guy at the next level. Someone who will make your team significantly better if he's not asked to be the main guy offensively. I think he would just kill it on a team like Oklahoma City or Chicago where he could focus on being a monster at all the things he already does well.

Has anyone watched Terrence Ross or Thomas Robinson at all? Haven't seen either of them play.

Havent seen Ross, but I have watched every one of Robinson's games. The kid is a GD monster, and is getting slept on by everyone. I'm not exaggerating when I say this: his ceiling is Karl Malone. At worst, he'll be a solid 1st big off the bench. He can score in the post, has a solid mid-range game, and his weakside defense is phenomenal. Not to mention he works his ass off, and, as bad as this sounds, he probably has all kinds of karma on his side (just google "Thomas Robinson Story" and click the second link). Long story short, I would LOVE to get Robinson. I would ship Tristan's ass out of here this second if it guaranteed we'd get Thomas.

Alright, here's my top 5:

1. Andre Drummond
2. Anthony Davis
3. MKG
4. Thomas Robinson
5. Harrison Barnes

Thanks for bringing this up. I didnt knew about Thomas Robinsons story before. It definitly was a sad thing to read.
Would love to have him playing for the Cavs, I see NBAdraft.net has him at #12 ... maybe we can steal him with another pick that we hopefully acquire at some point of this season

Davis/Drummond/Perry Jones/Quincy Miller/Harrison/Gilchrist.

I like Barnes or Gilchrist if we are 5 or out... from what ive seen they just arent "elite". Will be very good pieces to have either way.

I'd almost take the chance on Rivers over Harrison. He has a NBA gm. Wait for his body to fill out, his game reminds me so much of Dwade. Hard cross like Dwill and elite ability to finish with either hand. Decent range as well. BULLDOG for the dukies. Wants to take and hit big shots.

From what ive seen as well he is not a 1 by anyways so he'd fit well as a 2 for the cavs.

Was going to say the exact same thing. We all have a very good idea of what Davis/Drummond are going to be like. Lamb and K-G are the two guys showing they have what it takes for NBA stardom (though as you said, Gilchrist needs a bit of offensive refining), and although Barnes/Beal show a ton of promise, there's nothing set in stone with them yet. Honestly, I'd prefer Beal over Barnes.

Regardless, if we manage even a top 7 pick, I don't think we're going to be disappointed.

1. Anthony Davis
2. Andre Drummond
3. Jeremy Lamb

As of right now, those three are clear frontrunners in my eyes, and, yes, I include Drummond strictly based off potential alone. As for 4 and 5, I'm going to say people like Brad Beal, Barnes and Gilchrist come to mind since they're above average on both ends of the floor and not specialists. Those players are in no particular order. Other honorable mentions are Austin Rivers, Perry Jones, Jared Sullinger, and Quincy Miller.

This draft is so deep, that it's exciting to think we get to add one of these high caliber players to Kyrie, Triatan, and company. My top 5 would look something like:

1. Davis - You don't pass this kid up! You can just see he is going to be a star. He can get it done at both ends and will only get better. He's stuggled at times, but he's an 18 year old kid playing bigger, more expierienced kids so he will struggle at times. Other times you see Kevin Garnet like poential. Only question is where do you play him?

2. Drummond- You don't get many chances to draft a big man with this kind of potential and athletism. Him and Tristan on the inside would be a tough matchup for most teams on an athletism basis alone. He ia raw andnwill take some time to develope, but thensaying goes, you can't teach size and he has that with crazy athletism. Most years he'd be number 1 without a doubt.

3. Kidd-Gilchrist- We need athletism and length on the wings and at shooting guard in the worst way! He definitely accomplishes that and I was surprised how goos his numbers are on the year. I think of him as an Andy type high energy player with more offensive skill. I love players who play good defense and that's one of the things he excels at with his length averaging 1.6 steals per game and 1.2 blocks. He is averaging 13 pts per game and grabbing 7.5 boards. He is also shooting 52% from the field and 42% on threes! He turns the ball over too much, but he's a potential star two way player and he's only and 18 year old Playing 31mpg at UK.

4. Lamb- I love this kid on the court. I see a lot of Paul Pierce when he was at Kansas or Brandon Roye in him and we desperatley need a player like that. Chad Ford had him rated as the 10th rated draft prospect which is think is pretty low, but it goes to show how deep this class could be. Lamb as our future SG with Irving makes me want to go and watch this team.

5. Rivers- I would hate to miss out on this kid. I see this kid coming on toward the end of the season or the tournament and blowing up where he is a consensus top 5 pick like Mike Conley did when he was drafted. He has every tool you want out of a SG except he's maybe an inch shorter than ideal. He has been very highly thought of for long time and the compairison to Dwayne Wade is spot on to what he may be.

Great question!

What excites me about this draft class is that even if we get unlucky with the lottery and draft 5th or later, we can still get a damn good player. If we don't land in the top 2 (likely) then we'll have our pick of wing players in Barnes, MKG, Lamb, Beal, Rivers, Ross, Miller or even Perry Jones.
