I don't think anyone disagrees that we need an upgrade over Asdrubal in the 4 hole, but how is it the owner's fault that he's having the worst season of his career?

Went to my 13th game last night and like some, had to leave by the 12th (my boss drove me).
Danny Salazar wowed me with 9 of 11 pitches going over 98 mph. Hell that HR by Cabrera was a rookie mistake. Im not even worried about it. He tried to blow past the best hitter in baseball and got caught. Hopefully he learns form that and doesn't try to do a Jaret Wright impression the rest of his career. He hit 100 mph around pitch #98 and I was amazed. Having a guy like him is definitely going to draw fans once his rep builds up.

I think if they can hang on to the WC that would be great, but were at an extreme disadvantage with a 1 game playoff. I like what our rotation has in store in the future:
Masterson
Cluber
McCallister
Salazar
Jimenez (as a #5 im ecstatic)/Bauer when ready

Plus Tomlin is hopefully working back to form. The future is bright. Seeing signs of life are a great feeling. Now we can realistically start to have expectations from our team. This year is exciting. I just wish Reynolds would turn it back on and Cabrera would pull his head out of his ass.

No, I guess it isn't. But the buck stops at the owners desk. I would like to see them take a shot the next two years though. I said it before, this season feels a lot like 2005.

I wish you were here for many of the discussions which more or less demolish the prospect of blaming ownership for the problems related to payroll.

I just don't see how the buck stops at the owner when a player is underachieving. I also really don't see how this season is similar at all to '05.

If anything, I see more of a correlation to '06 with all the blown saves. The '05 team had an entire team of guys having career years.

This series is 2-1 if they could've just driven in more runs with RISP. A lot of it is Asdrubal. His spot in the lineup needs to change. Asdrubal and Perez almost single handedly lost this series. Both put in shit performances, but I credit Perez for last night. Asdrubal is the goat of this series. He is supposed to be a reliable player, maybe not clutch, and not a liability.

I never watch sports center but the bar I was at last night had it on. TONS of stuff on Salazar. Had the radar gun on the screen. Really got praise.

The parallel to '05 is in how we're faring against the Tigers this year versus how we fared against the White Sox that year. It's definitely similar- one demoralizing loss after another to the main division rival.

Difference is that in '05 we were as good as the White Sox (imo) just couldn't beat them, whereas this year the Tigers are just flat-out better than we are. And I think we had a better club overall in '05.

Really? There's a tv on at work that's had Sportscenter on it all morning. I thought they had some pretty decent coverage for it considering it was Cleveland sports. They showed him mowing down Miggy all 3 times and more.

Someone who throws 88 MPH fastballs right down the middle of the plate is not a guy I want in the bullpen.

There are better options, Guilmet, CC Lee and company are more likely to come up when the rosters expand.

Better off stretching Tomlin out. In case you need a spot start down the stretch.

Anyone have the fries at the ballpark? Do they come in a cup like at the fair? What size cut are they? How do they taste?
