2014 NFL Draft Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
You don't even know if the test was failed for drug use, or really anything about the situation at all.

Some here are going to wait before jumping to conclusions and making moronic statements like "he is as good as gone."

"You think the team is actually counting on this guy to play if the reports are true?"

Morons don't read the rest of the comment before replying.

I wont lie - i am a Shayne Skov fan. I am actually surprised he is was not a really late round pick for anyone.

Even though the majority of UDFA will not make the team - i always find it quite enjoyable to see who we target.

Really like this draft a lot.

Honestly, without the Gordon news, I'd be ecstatic, but TIC so there is always a caveat. But, the draft in a vaccuum, heck yeah. Liked it for many reasons.

Was Marcus Hall picked up? Wouldn't mind snagging him to further our line depth.

Pretty much...

I'd be doing backflips right now if the alleged Gordon news wasn't such a downer. Hopefully it isn't as bad as we thought, and if it is, hopefully we can target a good short term replacement while we determine how to get this piece of shit in line.

He isn't a draft eligible guy. Some random guy who was on the Bengals.

I think most of us feel this way, even people like myself who weren't fans of the Manziel pick. The fact that we got him at 22, picked up arguably the best CB in the draft and were able to snag what could be a high 1st-rounder next year... That sort of makes up for any disappointment I felt with the Manziel thing.

Outside of that, I have zero complaints. I really like the focus on the defensive backfield. That's the way the NFL is going, with GMs looking at the Seattle model of building around your DBs. I thought there was good value in each of our picks. The only one that kind of surprised me was Kirksey, but he does fill a need. Our intermediate pass protection in the middle of the field was horri-awful. It seems that this is Kirksey's most valuable trait.

I was also surprised that no receivers were taken, not because of the Josh Gordon situation, because -- if the reports are true -- his production was not going to be replaced by anyone in this draft, including Watkins, Evans or anyone else.

I like the fact that Farmer showed patience in the face of all that and stuck to his board. However, WR was a need coming into the draft and it was supposed to be arguably the deepest position in the entire draft. I'm just surprised they didn't pull the trigger somewhere along the way.

I guess it was just one of those situation where their draft position never matched up -- value-wise -- with the WR position. I can live with that.

With the news that they first tried to trade up to get Odell Beckum and then Brandin Cooks was originally the target at 22 (where they eventually snagged Manziel), those were the guys they really wanted. When they didn't get them, there was no panic. That's very un-Browns-like.

Must be a regime that likes the FB position. We've added two in the last 10 minutes.

Shaw is solid... no reason he couldn't catch on as a decent slot wr.

Sorry, what am I missing with Gallon?

Insanely productive, elite hands, tough, ran a 4.49, 40 inch vert, good quicks.......I feel like NE got a steal.

I get that he's short but a WR doesn't need to be tall to be productive.

7th seems like a steal for NE.
