IMO

We upgraded from a fit standpoint. Shump is a tremendous fit between Irving and James. Hopefully he can stay healthy and regain his defensive form a couple years back.

JR Smith is a wild card. You bank on a guy like that thriving with a change of scenery. He might provide some extra punch we need.

The pick is an added bonus which should set up another move to be completed in the next month.

Also backup PG is a really big need that needs to be talked about more.

I first want to say that after my last post it is now blatantly apparent that red. is Dion Waiters. I don't think I've made a post about Dion that he hasn't clicked the disagree button to, satire or not. Bravo for consistency.

I have to feel for the OKC fans, he will probably show up on his best behavior have a few decent games and they will be blowing their wad. As Rich said Westbrook and the newly vocal KD are not the kind of players that are going to let Dion shoot 15 times off the bench with horrible shot selection. Things could get nasty.

What I simply can't wrap my mind around is what Presti saw in this deal? You have a known malcontent unless he is in a lead role and you are willingly putting him in a position where he will be the 5th option. I just don't get it. Maybe this will be a wakeup call for Dion and he will miraculously change, but I don't see it.

I'll wait to hear from Max on this. But The Bullshit Whisperer is basically the front offices mouth piece. This could be your typical hit job on a player on the way out. I'll wait.

That's exactly what this is for OKC.

The Bullshit Whisperer seems to be really fond of taking pot shots on players/front office members on their way out I know he did the same with Grant.

I know Smith has a attitude and locker room issues at times but talent wise what does Waiters do that is far superior to Smith? Maybe pass? Its an honest question

I like Dion. But the things Dion does better than Shump and JR are not the things a team with Kyrie Irving and LeBron James need.

The things Shumpert and JR do better than Dion are things that a team with Kyrie Irving and LeBron James DOES need.

it's really as simple as that. Plus a first round pick to help us get a center

Ugh............no. No we couldn't have.

How do you know?

It doesn't even matter. To me I feel this trade is horrible and basically gave OKC the power to possibly trade Jackson for a better player than he or keep him while adding more talent.

Scott brooks is horrible look at lamb hes being in the dog house waiters is going straight to china after his contract is up plus westbrook will go hard at waiters

When I read the last line, I couldn't help but think Waiters as the kid that Westbrook wakes up every morning by splashing him with water. Good luck Dion!

I like Blatt but I'm starting to not like him after seeing his Euro like starting line up tonight. Dion is not a spot up shooter and he needs to play to his strengths. I hate this crap everyone on the team needs to be a spot up shooter for Lebron.

What does the bolded even mean and what other options did he have when LeBron and Kyrie were out with injury and Dion was being held out by the FO for the trade?

Waiters: ayeeeeeee and 1!!!!!!
