I think you misunderstood, the award wasnt renamed, the word charity was renamed to Barnidge.

Gary Barnidge won the Walter Payton man of the year award for time he dedicated to various Barnidges.
 
The top reason we need Farmer fired before the playoffs begin is that he is bound to nickel and dime new contracts. I could see the Browns losing Barnidge to a Calcutta Christian mission while Farmer plays hardball. Mother Theresa has those missionaries trained to recruit.
 
#GoffToGar is going to be the stuff of legends. Give him whatever he wants, although knowing Gary he doesn't want a gaudy contract anyway. 4 years / $65,000 per.

Interesting that the front office has allowed the current front office to discuss terms and extensions with current players.

Not sure if this is a sign of them sticking around, or a sign that ownership wanted Barnidge in place regardless of what happens in the next few months.
