Never underestimate a coach given control. They all want it.

People asked at the time why
Pete Carroll took the job in Seattle when they were a mess. Fast forward we saw why. Coaches rather have control over the roster.

They believe they will get the right players in there.

A coaching search that didn't end in failure and humiliation. Perhaps this marks a new glorious era of competence.
 
It's been a rough several months, hell, several years for this team. For the first time in a while I feel genuinely excited.
