Kevin Durant Leaves OKC- Joining Warriors

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
We are not matching, ownership is not going to spend over 30 million in luxury tax on a backup pg.

?
They better fucking spend money

King is gone if Dan Gilbert doesn't spend money
If it wasn't for his stupid letter he wouldn't have to

But he made his bed so he better fucking sleep in it

The Cavs haven't done anything yet. Enough of this "Warriors are the real best team in the league" bullshit. We took that shit from them when we won two games on their floor and Kyrie made Steph look like garbage.

Please. Semantics. Over 82 games they were the best. Over the final 7, they werent. Its irrelevant to the point Im making.

The best team in the league last season just added a top three player, but this isnt a big deal.

That is the delusional take.

But it's not the same team that was the best.
Your statement is just wrong.

Regardless, the Cavs still very much have to counter. Whether that means trading Love or signing Wade. Something must be done. That team will be very difficult to defend and despite how cash-strapped we are, we need to keep their focus on us and make them sweat a little bit. Would LOVE to be the 2011 Mavericks to their super team Heat.

Because they lose Barnes and Bogut? These guys are garbage and did nothing for them in the Finals.

So as I understand things, next season's GSW will be Curry, Klay, Iggy, KD, Green, Livingston, two rookies and a bunch of D-Leaguers playing for drinks?

I mean that's a great first 6, but can they pull 82 games with such a short and soft rotation and then through the playoffs?

They will get a ring chaser or two. West makes as much sense for them as he does us for example.

Its not over though, they have to blend, we have an improving Kyrie and Lebron is still better than anyone they have on GS, heck Kyrie next year might be better than anyone GS has, he will make a leap.

Our best hope is the Laker super team of 04 type implosion, that they dont match well. Only one ball. Someone besides Draymond has to defend and rebound, that is our best hope.

Plus they are adding another turn over prone player. Its a tough mountain to climb, but even mount everest is climbable.

There's a good chance Barbosa and Speights get their rights renounced and resign for vet minimums. I don't think they'll lose everyone. GS will renounce and some will take less money.

I could see that for Barbosa but if Speights does that, he is an idiot! I mean winning is important but a guy like him can get what 10-12-15 M$ in this market...vet minimum for him would set the NBAPA on fire I think and even the Heat didn't manage to get that kind of players to sign for them

In my opinion, you have to trade Love now to match up. It was one thing when you may run into the Spurs, OKC, etc. Now you're pretty much certain to be matching up with this team for the next 3-5 years.

Griffin already admitted we didn't match up well with GS and that was his fault... No excuse now for continuing with that issue.

From all the information I gather, I think GS are not as scary as people think.

With a SUPER short and SUPER soft rotation, with ZERO perimeter players, I don't think they would be that much harder to guard than this year's roster. Especially in the playoffs, when things get more physical and you already have 82 games behind you.
And there is no doubt that they have gotten much worse on D.

One of the main reasons we won is because Barnes couldnt well, hit the side of a Barn. Not an issue with Durant.

That said, Barnes is the better defender and they lose all depth at Center which will hurt, also Barbosa was a help in the playoffs.

But a 3rd splash brother will make this team very hard to defend.

Bogut was phenomenal for them in the finals

The series mostly opened up for us when he went down

Look if you think Bogut was the difference maker and him going down allowed us to win...I wont argue with you, I wont go there.

Adding Durant in place of Bogut, even so, is so preposterously a net plus move for them that it renders that discussion meanginless.
