The "What are you playing now?" Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Damn man episode three of Telltale's Batman gets pretty insane at the end.

I haven't played that particular game, but why is it that Telltale is able to come up with such phenomenal stories/characters so consistently, and so many feature films can't?

I haven't either but my guess is Hollywood tries to cater to the LCD since most people are idiots.

I've played the last two chapters; I don't think the story would make sense on film in the format of a 2 hour movie.

I'd say time is the answer. The average movie has a two hour run time. It's hard to tell a great story in two hours. The average Telltale game is ten to twelve hours, which is more comparable to a TV show season than a film. I've thought TV (cable at least) has had the edge on movies in storytelling for over a decade now, with no sign of that changing. I'd also say the illusion of choice helps. Even though your decisions largely don't actually matter in any significant way in Telltale games, the fact that it appears that they do makes every choice more compelling.

In finishing up blood and wine. I only have one more side quest in the expansion and that's the gwent tournament. Unless of course some of those questions marks on the map lead to quests. I got to a point in the main story where it made it seem like it was a finale, so I should finish up my side quests. Man, what a game.

Nobody is on Battlefield 1?

Been pretty fun.
I'll pick it up eventually (pc though) my multiplayer has been pretty much just cs go with the lady with some tf2 thrown in here and there with @jackbrickman . I still play bf4 now and then as well....

I have gears of war 4 too since it came with my card. I haven't played that but I wanted to give horde mode a shot.

Heard BF1 campaign is legit. Excited to dive into it. Supposedly is 6 different WW1 stories that you get to play.

I just beat the first one. It's pretty good, albeit probably not longer than 10-12 hours for all the stories combined.

Dishonored 2 drops Friday. Really looking forward to that one.

Tyranny looks great as well, but going to hold off on a purchase until I finish Dishonored.
