Best game I've ever been to!! Any sport, any team. Love had arguably his best game as a Cav, TT was a beast, LBJ with the game-tying circus shot and setting a career high in assists, Kyrie going good Kobe in OT, and snapping the Wizards seventeen game home winning streak. It was straight-up special.
In terms of stuff I noticed...
1) Kyrie was definitely limping around a bit. But when he was missing LBJ, RJ, TT, and Love kept going up to him and encouraging him. I'm not sure he has the OT he had on a team without as much trust.
2) TT and LeBron tell everyone where to go on defense. I think part of the problem with the LeBron-less lineups is that they are also absent TT. When we rested LBJ in the fourth quarter, TT stayed in, and we maintained the lead.
3) Judging by sideline and on-court chemistry, the rumor that LBJ wants Love gone for Melo is complete horseshoe. Nobody, not even RJ or Channing, were cheering as much when Love made great play tonight. The dude is here to stay.
4) Kay Felder is really slow making reads on both offense and defense. The veterans didn't stop pulling him aside during game breaks. He didn't cost us as much tonight, but the team just doesn't have a lot of trust in him, and it's for good reason.
5) Most Wizards fans are pretty cool and knowledgeable about basketball, at least the ones around us were. But there was a married couple behind us that kept chanting "MVP" when John Wall did something nice. And the dude kept saying how Love is a weak-ass player who wouldn't star on any non-LeBron team, Kyrie wouldn't start for twenty teams in the NBA, and LeBron "ain't" the best player in the NBA. When we won, I kindly looked behind me over at him, pointed at my white Kyrie jersey, and said: "John Wall was definitely the fourth best player on the court tonight. Congrats!"
