Game 53 | Denver (24-29) @ Cavs (36-16) | February 11, 2016 | 7:30pm EST

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I don't think Love is better. Prove that he is better if you really think he is.
I guarantee you won't find any metric that says he is superior unfortunately. He is a having a ridiculous season right now and he barely gets any recognition because he plays on the Nuggets.
Show me another center in the past 30 years that had an OBPM of 7(Centers never impact the game that much on that end). He also spots an ORTG of 129, .65TS% and eFG% of .62 while playing with terrible PG rotation and on a terrible team.
Him playing as a playmaker in the post while Lebron acts as the screener/cutter on the Curl screen while Korver flares out to the 3pt line is unguardable.

Is Jokic better for the Cavs than Love though? That is the question. Not who is the better player if you're starting a team from scratch.

Would we actually run the offense through him? Something tells me no, based on these two guys we have named LeBron and Kyrie.

How about the fact Love is averaging more points as the third option, opposed to Jorik whom is averaging 16 a game as the number one option.

Love is the better rebounder of the two. Love is a better three point shooter. Love's RPM Wins are higher. Love's DPRM higher.

More importantly, Love is the better fit on this team. Goodness, can we stop acting like we have spoiled milk on our team. Jokic is a good player. He might end up better than Love.

You're telling me you'd trust a 21 year old more than a 28 year old? A seasoned veteran and NBA champion? For all we know, Jokic would make too many costly mistakes, things that don't show up in stats.

I'm not trying to act like he's not talented, or doesn't have a bright future, but we are seriously disrespecting Love a lot. Man.

Imagine Kevin's numbers if he was on Denver? You know, a shitty ass team.

The guy was averaging 26 and 15 as the number one option in Minny. He's pretty damn good. Let's not pretend Jokic is that explosive at this point in his career.

And he's not even that good of a defender at this point. So why would someone honestly rather have him RIGHT NOW. Of course if you discount youth and health. Going forward? Okay, sure, but we're not looking forward anyways.

Laughable if anyone really believes Jokic, right now, is a better offensive player. This is just downright disrespectful IMO.

Kevin Love is a fucking all-star. Jokic is not an all-star at this point.

Jokic is a stud but people need to behave. Currently he isn't better than Love.

Jokic is putting up amazing numbers but people have forgotten Love used to put up beastly numbers while being absolutely unstoppable on the offensive end. The only aspect currently I would say Jokic is better than Love is passing and ball-handling. Otherwise in terms of scoring, be it inside or outside, rebounding and defending, Love is comfortably better.

Not even just the 1 year...the 4 years before K Love came here he put up on average 23.5, 13.7, 3, on 45%/37%/82% shooting splits, a 25 PER, and a 57.5 TS%, and was a 3 time All-Star, and a 2 time 2nd team All-NBA player...

Jokic can't sniff that resume yet...he has a chance, but to act like he's been better than when Love was the man on his own team, like Jokic is now, is pretty laughable.

Little revisionist history going on here, trying to short change what K Love did/can himself do as a teams number 1 option, from a pure stats standpoint. Dude was considered a top 10 player in the league the summer he was traded here...

Eh, Jokic will be an all-star next year. Only reason he wasn't this year is because it took the Nuggets too long to realize how much better he was than Nurkic.

Nuggets are another team that should be sniffing around Jimmy Butler, btw. They've got the thing that hits Golden State where they are weakest.

No, they couldn't beat them this year, but put together a decent roster next year, and hope for a big Jokic leap? Just want to see more teams believe they can win, in each conference. Need more competition.

Jokic is a stud. He's also been there number one option and person who the ball goes through the most for the past two months.

That's not happening here. So it's very difficult to view what he's doing recently, both statistically and playing style, and project how that would integrate with LeBron and Kyrie.

In any event there's tons of talented players in this league. Do we really need to compare them all to Love as if there being other players on his level or better then him is somehow a knock on him?

Some people here enjoy doing this on a weekly basis...its a tired, played out, boring act...and it was tired, played out, and boring 2 years ago when Birdy ran it into the fucking ground on this forum.

1 more time...

For some people, the grass is always greener on the other side.

I also don't get this, really.

I'd trade Kevin Love for Anthony Davis straight up. And what's the point of mentioning that other than starting another "Kevin Love isn't Good Enough" fight?

Are the Nuggets ever going to entertain a trade for Jokic? No. So why do we do this all the time? Yes, there are players in the NBA better than Kevin Love. No kidding.

There aren't many, and most of the ones who are are completely and totally off the market.

Bingo...just, fucking bingo.

Enjoy one of my rare given likes.

Nuggets are pretty beat up. No Gallinari, Faried, or Mudiay.

Watching Mike Miller goof off with Kyrie and LeBron.

They love him.

Just talking about it seems that people want to find a reason to bash one of our players. Jokic is a good talent and seems like a definite star going forward.

I think Love is the better of the two at the moment, and definitely better for us.

Neither team would entertain such a thing, so it's moot.
