i like mahomes, i think he has great potential. However this is a classic case of a team that is going to force themselves to take a developmental QB in the first round because there are no other QBs in this draft.

I don't think any of these QBs are 1st round since they all need to sit a year/two before playing in the NFL, Mahomes has all the potential, Kizer has all the physical tools, Watson has high intangibles, Trubisky may be the best QB overall, but I don't think anyone of them will do good at starters day 1

Also the classic case of pure media hype. He's good but needs a few years to develop. Not just one year behind Palmer. If the Cardinals want to take him at 13. Let them.
