I don't think thaTs true. A lot of people grew up with Wahoo and have a sentimental attachment to the logo

I really don't think all supporters of the Chief are mouth breathers who are pushing a political agenda

Sorry for the sentimental attachment to a racist caricature, hopefully they can move on with their lives with a logo that doesn't make fun of an entire race of people that white people wiped out.

Ok dude I get your stance. For a second I'm not arguing the removal/nonremoval of the chief.

You have to realize there are people who like the chief who aren't racist or don't only like the chief because of a political agenda.

And they think the same about you. Sorry they're offended by a cartoon of their favorite baseball team. Hopefully they can move on with their lives withou emotional scarring

That cartoon ran in 1915. Chief Wahoo was released in 1947.

They are not going to stop with the Chief Wahoo, they want the name gone as well to something else. I understand we should maybe change things, but the protestors aren't the majority of Native Americans and they aren't going to stop until the Indians are no longer the Indians. So @AZ_ if you agree with getting rid of the Chief Wahoo, then you support changing the name of the Indians since these protestors aren't going to stop until the name is completely changed. I know that's a little bit overboard, but it's the truth since the protestors aren't going to stop until the Indians name is completely removed even if we get rid of Chief Wahoo. Hence why I feel the Indians make a deal with the local Native American tribes and give them some of the sales from Chief Wahoo and whatnot.

The protesters aren't going to stop until there's no more baseball team at all

I'm just ready to move on completely. I'm so sick of these creatures coming to our town and standing out shouting in our ears ruing our experience for the time being.

And to be honest, nothing even gets done about it, just people bickering at each other. One little removal of a cartoon caricature saves the world.

I wish it would stop it, but it won't, that's the whole problem. They will still protest because we are the "Indians" and will not stop until we are no longer the Indians.
 
The Indians will be mercifully phasing out Chief Wahoo over the next few years and the snowflakes of Cleveland will have to deal with their sore vaginas.

They'll enjoy their All Star Game and it will be but a memory.

They are phasing it out, but it won't stop the protesters until we change the name of the team. So why please the minority who are protesting when nothing we do will stop them from protesting outside changing the name? If you want to change the name then go for it since the people will still show up until then even if we get rid of Chief Wahoo
