There is absolutely ZERO ZERO ZERO chance the Cavs are getting four 1st round picks, Melo and Bledsoe for Irving hahahah. Where the hell do people come up with this crap. And why would the Suns give up a pick and a player of Bledsoe talent (just because they want to trade him) for the unproven PG and an overpaid SG that the Cavs couldn't get a single bite on all season for a trade?

the best the Cavs can hope for right now is getting a boarderline all-star and a few young pieces added. That is why if the Kings offer centered around Fox is a legitimate offer, they need to jump on it.

Look at Kyrie's resume. Look at Fox's resume. Typing out a maniacal laugh at Cavs fans expense is a shitty look. Goodnight, new guy.

Boogie was a similar situation. As was butler. Not much of a haul there.

Boogie is a head case dampening his value it's very different
Butler didn't even ask for a trade bulls just dealt him on the cheap cause there GM is a moron

Yeah, Boogie was pretty much a 1-year rental (meaning 2017-18) for the Pelicans, since they were too far behind to make the playoffs when they acquired him this season. Meanwhile, Kyrie still has 2 full seasons left on his contract before he can opt-out in the third year.

2 seasons > 1 season

Bad time to say that. This was one of the best drafts in a long time. A lot of legit players this year. Last year's draft was a joke.

Nobody has played a game. What an incredibly premature statement.

Kyrie/Shump for Kemba/MKG

Kyrie/Shump for Hood, Rubio, Johnson, 1st round pick

Kyrie/Shump for Brogdon, Middleton, Delly,1st round pick

Kyrie/Shump to the Clippers, Rivers/Johnson to the Knicks, Melo/Beverly/Dekker/1st round to Cavs.

Kyrie for Bledsoe/Jackson

Man imagine if this was the best we could do..

Well not saying we should do any of those deals exactly as presented but scan back through the last 25 years and try to find a trade where a top 25 talent gets another top 25 talent back.

This scenario we have to deal with is also unique because Kyrie is not our only star and we're resigned to setting off a rebuild. We still have the desire and expectations or competing for a title appearance next year and making LeBron feel good enough about the roster composition to re-up

Jonas is a horrible defender who Toronto has to take off the court in the 4th qtr. He would be taken advantage by HS far more than TT is. TOR is currently trying to trade him and has found very little interest in him.

Now, if you want to go back and really feel shitty in hindsight, look at some of the other players we could have selected at #4 in 2011 to pair next to Kyrie

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2011_NBA_draft
Thanks for reminding us that we could have had Klay, Kahwi, or Butler instead of TT. I hate you.

Those suck other than 1 and 5 .. And Id still want a pick on both ... Kemba is a better shooter than Bledsoe... MGK is Jackson's comparison but many think he will be much better offensively
.. I still lean to Pho because of Bledsoe defensive ability and the pick if we get one being higher...plus a ton of people wanted Jackson on draft night

Kyrie Shump Frye

For

Bledsoe jackson warren
I've decided the Bledsoe Jackson combo is my favorite of the bunch that have been suggested. I'd almost rather the Suns throw in Bender instead of Warren though, even though at this moment Warren is better just because acquiring two players at a position we are deepest at (LeBron, RJ, Jeff Green, etc) seems like overkill

That's probably close to the best we can do.

Maybe we can get slightly more than those deals, but the fact is Kyrie won't get what s true franchise player would get, because he isnt one.

Realistically, why would a team gut the franchise for potentially 2 years of Irving?

I think we will get more for Irving than any team has gotten for a star the last 2 years, but if people think we are about to completely blow away the return the Bulls got or the Kings got...eh. It'll be better, but those two deals are in the ballpark.

Mitch Richmond (+ Otis Thorpe) for Chris Webber?

Anyway, Milwaukee is my preferred choice. Middleton is a legit upgrade at the 2 and doesn't need the ball. Woild be massibe to have a 6'7 wingman that shoots well above 40% from 3.

Brogdon is the current rookie of the year playing a position we will need to fill.

Then you take the other stuff they give up, picks, Maker, and package that up with Frye and Shumpert and Osman and send them to New York for Melo.

Brogdon, Middleton, and Melo would be a good haul but a lot depends on Brogdon. How good is the kid?: if he can defend and at least be a threat on offense if isolated with Curry as a defender that would seem to give a us a fighter's chance against GS.

I suppose you can go supersize and just play JR, Middleton, Melo, Lebron, and Love as well

Mitch Richmond (+ Otis Thorpe) for Chris Webber?

So basically 25 years ago. Good find. And keep in mind I'm referring to what the players were when the team went down not what a rookie may have become in the future

Because Boogie's contract is up next summer and he could walk for nothing.

And, you already have an elite big in AD.

AD - Kyrie is a better duo and complement each other better than AD - Boogie.

I think Boogie - Kyrie is the best duo of them all. Give us AD, we give you Kyrie. We even throw in TT, as a bonus.
