2017 Series #36 | Tribe @ Twins

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
He shouldn't have been out there for a 2nd inning. What happened to being concerned about his workload.

But good lord, pitchers give up runs every once in a while. You'd think Shaw was the first to ever do it by some of the reactions he gets.

He could have blown it all to shit, but he gave up 1...deserves credit for stranding a runner at 3rd with no outs, but 1 person gave it to him.

Has he really been that great lately to where he deserves the benefit of the doubt? If so, okay, but it just doesn't feel like it.

That'll work for insurance.

5 straight scoreless appearances coming into today...struck out the side in what should have been his only inning.

The most worked reliever in baseball is going to give up runs. Its going to happen.

Yeah, I think he deserves more benefit of the doubt than he gets in here or from this fanbase in general, period.

Then go to McAllister or Goody or Otero...why throw the most worked reliever in baseball the last 5 seasons out there for a 2nd inning in a 2 run game?

Bryan "the most worked reliever in baseball" Shaw.

Wonder if his wife calls him that at home.

Because he's better than all of those guys.

He'd thrown 16 pitches in the last 7 days and hadn't pitched since Monday. Don't think him being "overworked" led to that run. Like you said, relievers give up runs from time to time.
