I've given you enough shit for pennant winning moves, and you are the only one I've shamed with grave digs here...they feuded before they partnered up so...

Two Man Power Trip?

I had nothing against Bruce, all I said is though he isn't a sure bet to make the playoff roster if he produces his normal end of the season numbers since he hasn't been playing a plus defense and normally is bad in the last part of the year. Plus it is odd a team will keep 6 OFs on the roster as well.

He notoriously is bad in the second half and hasn't been a good fielder the last few seasons. We are keeping our best 25 guys for the playoff series regardless of how much one is paid.

Right now he is killing the ball and being a main guy on this team. There is no way he isn't on the playoff roster with the way he is playing. If anything he is actually playing maybe his best baseball of his career since he looks completely different out there than he did in Cincinnati the last few years and with the Mets this season. He is taking walks and striking out less. There is no way he can keep up an ops of almost 1.300, but he has been a big boost to this team, right when we needed him.

I will continue to make fun of the discussions of Jay Bruce being average this year and the discussions of him not making the post season roster.

I don't think a single person in here said Jay Bruce was average this year; he was and is continuing to have a very good year. By far his best year since 2013

One thing Bruce deserves more credit on to this point, maybe even more so than his offensive production, is that he has been a positive defensive player with us.

A few weeks before he was traded, I read somewhere that the Mets were positioning him deeper in the field (iirc) and were seeing great results from it. First time since 2013 he was posting a positive dWAR.

Kipnis really looking good on this road trip. Doubles to deep left in the first and driven in by a JRam double immediately after. Good to see Jose back after missing a game.

Lmao, Hammy called Carlos, "LeBron Santana" after that leaping grab.

It has to be damaging to your confidence a bit when you surrender RBIs to Roberto Perez.

Just like a little bit, for a second or something, right?

If Tito decides to roll with the extra arm, I can see Guyer being the odd man out. But I still prefer Guyer over the last arm on the roster, I'd trust pinch hitting Guyer vs a lefty late in the game. He's good for a hit either by his bat or his body.

Anyone watching this game
