New TV Series to watch

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I just recently started watching "New Girl" and it's immediately become one of my favorite shows.

Holy shit it's almost "It's Always Sunny" level funny.

Yeah, New Girl is really good stuff. Jess is a bit much at times, but Schmidt is the gift that keeps on giving.

New American horror story is actually good..

Portlandia season 7 is now on Netflix

Anybody watch The Good Place?
Netflix UK just picked it up. Didn't watch season 1 past the pilot originally but actually it has a nice idea and quirkiness. Weird seeing that British girl act she was a TV presenter on kids TV

Anyone watch The Good Doctor tonight?

Watched it becasue of morbidd fascination.

Better than i expected, makers of House and I liked House.

I would say a 6 out of 10. Probably will drop it, but worth watching once, weird concept.

New girl is ok, my ex liked it so I got into it. Better out there, too unrealistic at times to me, but i am invested now so that one is a keeper.

Anyone watching Orville like me?

My kids are sci fi kids so they wanted to watch it and i do find Seth McFarland funny. Show is good, but I was expecting better. It is McFarland's humor, but a bit watered down. Seems like he is looking to appeal to an older and younger audience.

Oh well, stuck watching it no matter what, kids love it.

Finally saw the first two seasons of Top of the Lake. Really good. Elizabeth Moss is great. If you like detective shows with dark undertones, check it out. Kind of in the vein of True Detective... not as good as TD season 1, but better than TD season 2.

Yes, liked the first season, hating the 2nd season so far. We shall see, but the twist is getting. Can you jump a shark after 1 season?
I was worried after watching the season two premiere last week, but the end of last night's episode makes me think they're going to find a way to keep the show fresh and different. I guess we'll see.

Watched the first episode of Snowfall earlier, the FX show about the rise of the crack epidemic in LA in the 80s. It was really good. Definitely going to watch the rest of the season. Highly recommend checking it out. FX continues their streak of damn good television. They're probably the most consistent non-HBO network when it comes to show quality.

I think someone here brought up The Deuce. Really digging that show. I haven't seen the latest episode yet, but the first three were really good. Reminds me a lot of The Wire in how they have all these characters in different walks of life doing seemingly different things, but knowing they'll all intersect at some point. Lot of Wire alums in the cast, too, which isn't surprising given how Simon likes to reuse actors. Definitely worth a watch.
