2017 Browns Regular Season

Do Not Sell My Personal Information

Jimmy can’t stay away from FO executives with no experience.

It's not happening.

This is literally the least attractive job in the NFL right now.
Hate to say it but... Inheriting a massive cupboard of picks (including a top 2 pick and your choice of QB) along with an owner willing to open the pocketbook... Asset-wise? Not a bad situation...

Couple that with a future perennial All-Pro in Garrett and a good stock of young, undeveloped talent...

A smart GM could flip this franchise on its head in 2 years and win (and take 100% of the credit along the way).

I’m being dead serious.

I've made this care about Belichick before actually.

Bill was the wrong hire not because he was a bad coach, but because he wanted to build the Brownies in his image. The problem being that the Brownies in spite of having an absolutely DREADFUL season in 1990? Already had an identity and culture that was crafted by the likes of Kosar, The Dawgs, etc.

Now if you had him as the coach of the expansion Browns? Not a fucking problem. That team had no culture or identity. He could make them whatever the fuck they want.

You are right though. There's little to really "ruin" or "chase" off here.

Not to mention... we don’t have nothing. We do have talent. But it needs to be developed and the roster supplemented.

Way easier said than done. But as bleak as it looks... you do have a base.

Garrett
Schobert
Collins
Kirksey
Shelton
Peppers
Kindred

The o-line
Duke
Njoku
Coleman

That’s your core. You build on that.

Infuse that with at least one more good receiver, 1-2 cornerbacks, d-line depth, and God forbid... a quarterback... You’re going to be a damn formidable team.

Howard Wilson coming back

The Titans run side to side too much for a team with two downhill backs.

Kindred, schobert, and Peppers have a lot to prove to me before I consider them long term pieces

Same can be said of Njoku and Coleman but I have higher expectations for them

I would also throw Ogbah in there.

You can add Ogunjobi to that list. Nassib has like completely disappeared which is disappointing.

Hot take? I don't think Peppers is bad, but this team not having a proper Free Safety really hurts his development.

I still think he has a chance to be a promising player, but they really need to upgrade that position and badly.

Would you trade Kindred to free up that spot for Peppers?

Howard Wilson coming back

Aside from you, I feel like I'm talking to myself about Howard Wilson. The dude should be able to practice tomorrow; you'd think the media would ask a damn question about his progress. But no, we get this from Grossi.

Professional.

Anything actually happen? Or is he just saying that?
