Lonzo Ball

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Man, I had SC on mute last night while sleeping and happened to wake to see LaVar being interviewed on the court by Stephen A and the other host. It seriously looked like him and Stephen were about to square off. DIdn't hear what was said, but animation was extreme and Stephen gave him the death stare.

The best part was the end when he started walking away, and the other announcer was like "Stay in your lane". It was great.

He'll be fine. He sucked his first summer league game too.

Someone find that video....gotta hear the exchange...

Ricky Rubio seems like a reasonable, perhaps slightly optimistic, comparison for Ball. Ball's even more wildly hyped than Rubio was, though.

Rubio, IMO, could have been much better in a better system when younger.

As for Ball, the kid has talent, I just don't know where to rank him at. He's a great passer, but can he do other things at this level to help stand out? Time will tell.

What I do know is the Lakers will be terrible this year, Lonzo needs to sign a deal with Clearasil, and Lavar Ball might be the greatest heel in the history of the world. He would make Bobby the Brain Heenan blush.

Big Baller Bust

I never understood the comparisons to Jason Kidd who wasn't offensively challenged as much as Lonzo seems to be, and Kidd was a known defender.

Comparing him to Kidd was a hot take like me saying bust. This dude is going to choke away this dream harder than the 2017 Indians.

I also find it hilarious how numerous people analyze Lonzo and always refer to 'daddy' Lavar. Theyre basicalliy calling Lonzo a pussy boy.

If Lonzo is a bust (and not sure he will be), then people should look to these Lakers as an object lesson in the dangers of relying on lottery picks instead of proven talent, something we should think about re the Nets pick. Brandon Ingram -- hyped #2 pick, looked great in college. Lonzo Ball -- hyped #2 pick, looked great in college.
