Let's Talk about Jesus Christ, Creation, and Whether You Believe or Not

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Then let me help you out.

Here you are onto something that other people could latch onto and find common ground with you. You tap into the heart of Martin Luther's 95 theses, that the government of religion manipulates the original direction of Christianity: forming a relationship with God.

But then...

Here it is, the threat of damning people to Hell and all the torture that comes with it. Among those you attacked in the past day include Catholics, Muslims, people who weren't exposed to Christianity, people who believe in evolution, people who believe in carbon dating, and people who have doubts in their faith.

In short, you condemn everyone who hasn't reached the same conclusions as you have. You became the "religion" you originally condemned.

I'm a fan of the musings Emily Dickinson had on science and religion.

"Some keep the Sabbath going to church
I keep it staying at home"

"The Bible is an antique Volume
Written by faded Men
At the suggestion of Holy Spectres -"

"Faith" is a fine invention
For Gentlemen who see!
But Microscopes are prudent
In an Emergency!"
The Word of God is true, my friend. His Word already tells us plainly, there is one way to the Father in heaven, there is one way to enter the strait gate into the paradise of God, there is one true way to everlasting life, and it is not found in a Emily Dickinson song, nor is the world judged by Emily Dickinson lyrics........ it was written in the Book of John, spoken by Jesus Christ, Emmanuel, God in the flesh.. and Jesus Christ said that HE is the way, the truth, and the life, and that no man goes to the Father but by Him! Amen. He is not lying, and neither am when I'm reporting the truth.

Jesus Christ also said this, documented in the same book of John (which you should read, i might add)

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. He that believes on him is not condemned: but he that believes not is condemned already, [[[because]]] he have not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God." (John 3:16-18)

The words spoken by Jesus Christ, the Creator of heaven and earth. Amen.

Who is Emily Dickinson again? Never heard of her.

I could change my approach? Whats wrong with my approach? Maybe you can open your own thread on a board full of atheists who don't "know" you and have it go 29+ pages and i would love to see how you conduct yourself amidst all the mockery, anger, insults, lies, false accusations, persecution, etc. We will see how much patience you really have even after 5 pages of back to back to back to back posters mocking you and insulting you. And then i would like to see how you are doing after 29+ pages. Then come back to tell me, my conduct can be different.

You preface your statement with a subtle jab at me to warm the ears of these snarling dogs.

I would like to comment on this. Skyscraper, I think you were asking Kiddo, but I wanted to chime in.

Full disclosure , if I were to classify myself I would say i’m closest to Agnostic than anything , so please feel free take what I said with a grain of salt.

Something that would be more convincing to me is how finding God has made your life and others around you better. I see a lot of bible verses on how someone should live, but nothing that has shown be how you life and others around is better because it. For example, have you volunteered to help make someone life better in some way ?

Kiddo explained a personal story that is related to how it has impacted his life. Perhaps instead of pulling quotes from the Bible what you have done to implement it life and how it has enriched your life would be more persuasive . Just a thought.

Same old discussion. Just because somebody has read other books besides the Bible doesn't mean they have yet to read the Bible. Classic fallacy made by many, skyscraper. But it's how you get tuned out and why people walk past you really, really fast when you are preaching.

All I’m saying is trying to what you are doing on an online forum is next to impossible. I could’ve told you right from the start how it would go. Maybe I should’ve worded it different but I wasn’t trying to jab you.

Maybe you missed this earlier in the thread, a brief testimony.

Well, my friend, I am glad to break it to you.. but i have been on the side of the fence you are on, per se... not knowing the LORD of all creation.. admitting Jesus Christ is GOD doesnt mean you belong to Him.. And thats where I was.. I always knew Jesus Christ was the Son of God, God the Son.. but i had no fellowship with Him. I was miserable in my sins.. searching the world for joy, happiness, peace... searching all the wrong places, but yet, never giving Jesus Christ a chance to show Himself in my life.

And living a life contrary to the LORD was hard. Very hard. Very miserable. Very void of life / joy / purpose. Life without life is lifeless. Amen. And it is Jesus Christ that is the way, the truth, and the LIFE! Hallelujah!

I was always in trouble with the law, always in jail, some things I was guilty of, some, I was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. When you walk contrary to the Lord, He will walk contrary to you.

BUT THEN, the LORD called me out of the depths of my sin and misery, pulled me out and set me on a higher ground, filled me with everlasting life, and since then, truly, I am a new creation! Hallelujah to the LAMB OF GOD who makes ALL THINGS NEW! Indeed, all things in Christ are new creations! The WORD OF GOD IS TRUE!!

Have never been in trouble since the Lord took me under His wing and set me on His right side in heavenly places! I have come to know what peace is! I have come to know what JOY IS! I have come to know what TRUTH IS! I have come to know the CREATOR OF HEAVEN AND EARTH!! Hallelujah!

AND THE GREAT NEWS IS THIS, YOU CAN TOO!!!! Do you want to know Him today and receive everlasting life?

I knew exactly what i was doing when i made this thread. i knew exactly how it would go. but it actually sustained a level of respectability for much longer than i expected.

Didn't even make it one page. :( Dont think i want to read the rest of this.

I will summarize:

A street preacher, who seems like a decent guy appears to genuinely believe in what he’s preaching here.

His opinions are not backed by science or history, but he claims they’ve helped him turn his life and other lives around and contribute to a greater good. You know...faith and zeal.

Gourimoko and his tribe are baited in.

People try to prove him wrong using science and reason and he inevitably uses Bible verses to prove them wrong in turn.

They attack his Bible verses and ask him to respond to more science and history.

More Bible verses.

More anger. More science and history.

Later rinse repeat.

Praise the Lord. i will report the truth because i serve the LORD and all who hear that are drawn by the Father will come, Amen. And all who walk past, do it to their own demise. Amen.

All i did was report to you the truth and you sweep it under a rug with "classic fallacy made by many"..

well, my friend, truth of the matter is, on that great and terrible day of judgment, it is by the written word of God, the same word that you and many on here deny, will be the same word that judges you... *insert ugly face*

I knew exactly what i was doing when i made this thread. i knew exactly how it would go. but it actually sustained a level of respectability for much longer than i expected.

So what was the point of the thread?

Some kind of test of yourself to see how long you can handle people questioning your beliefs?

Just to argue with people?

You knew how it would go, yet you made the thread anyways.

I dont use reason? Using theories doesnt count as science, btw.

So you are going to continue on with this lie about me? You care to tell the truth about me, maybe? Or you enjoy lying on me to make me look bad. If i look bad all by myself, then your lies are not needed, right?

and it was already established that i had the wrong -ine, it was augustine.

with that said, you are free to carry on in your sarcasm.

Ok, so just so we're clear, you're calling me a liar for saying you said that Catholics only have 9 commandments.

Here is your post, from page 6 of this thread:

Catholics also are idol worshipers. Are you aware that they altered the 10 commandments and removed the 2nd commandment? Which is a pretty big and important commandment.. number 2, right after number 1, which is to have no god before the Lord your God.. and then number 2 which is to make no idols, they removed..

So if they removed 1 commandment from 10, 10-1=9 unless my math is wrong?

Like I stated, it was clear early on that Skyscraper had no desire for a serious discussion. He was here to get a reaction and argue with the science crowd. It's too bad. We should probably all put him on Ignore and carry on the thread.

Maybe you missed this earlier in the thread, a brief testimony.
I apologize , I did miss it. I went to bed and just have read through all of the update

I see how the event in your has had a profound impact on your life . I don’t think that answers my question though . What life changes (daily or long term ) have you made since that event that has made things better for those around you (Living out the embodiment of the scriptures )? I’m talking beyond sharing your testimony, how do reflect this in your everyday life ?

Your continual lack of acknowledgement of my great Delly post is really disconcerting.

Who is Gouri to me???? I made this thread to glorify my LORD the Creator of all things seen and unseen, in heaven and in earth. Amen.
