The Trump Administration (just Trump) Thread

It's astonishing.....proof of the "Head of Counter Intelligence" at the FBI, having some type of conversation inside Andrew McCabe's office about a plan to stop Trump's candidacy.

It's unreal....

Why anyone would have any level of trust from our government at this point is beyond me. I feel like I'm taking crazy pills. Where is the outrage?

The hatred for Trump is pathological. They view it as immoral/unethical to report anything that detracts/distracts from the effort to remove Trump.

They're perfectly fine with lying/misleading to advance what they see as the "greater" truth.

The first part of this post just baffles me. Yes, putting in educational standards does result in them being controlled. Okay?

You don't trust professionals to know more about their field than people who have never worked in it.

I will respond to this more fully later, but "educators" are (allegedly) experts at teaching. That is completely different from being experts in what should be taught.

Headline: Nation Stunned That FBI Agents Have Political Views, Too

These guys were removed from the investigation upon discovery of the texts. Nothing suggests any tampering and there are already multiple indictments and convictions. It's not a story because it affected nothing and was handled appropriately.

Do you think this is the first time a federal worker has held political beliefs?

Hold on man.....there is a MASSIVE difference in holding a particular political POV, but it's something completely different when you're texting your mistress about a conversation within the Deputy Director of the FBI's office about an "insurance plan" in the event Trump is elected. That was our "Head of National Counter-Intelligence". And this conversation happened in the FBI's second most powerful office. How much more would you need to start feeling a bit queezy about where this is headed....?

This wasn't some low level Joe Schmo down the hall talking shit. This guy was the lead investigator into Hillary's email probe, and selected by Mueller as one of his 16 agents to investigate Trump.

To act as if this is nothing, is simply absurd on so many levels. Again man...."HEAD of COUNTER INTELLIGENCE".

“I want to believe the path you threw out for consideration in Andy’s office — that there’s no way [Trump] gets elected — but I’m afraid we can’t take that risk,” FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok wrote in a cryptic text message to Lisa Page, an FBI lawyer and his mistress.

“It’s like an insurance policy in the unlikely event you die before you’re 40,” Strzok wrote in the text, dated Aug. 15, 2016.

“Maybe you’re meant to stay where you are because you’re meant to protect the country from that menace,” Page wrote.

“I can protect our country at many levels, not sure if that helps,” Strzok replied.

Both of these people, selected to the "elite" crew picked by Mueller. I'm not even sure how that happens? Like what are the odds?

Lets take it one step further.....for 500 points, name the agency that opened an investigation into Trump and his campaign in late August?

If you guessed the Department of Counter Intelligence, you'd be correct!!!!

And while he was praising Clinton, Strzok was working at the center of the investigation into the Democrat’s use of a private email server. He emailed Clinton on July 2, 2016 — three days before then-FBI Director James Comey cleared her of criminal wrongdoing.

In the weeks before and after his politically-charged texts, Strzok interviewed several Clinton aides who sent and received classified emails that ended up on Clinton’s email server.

Two of those aides were Huma Abedin and Cheryl Mills. Both appear to have provided misleading responses to questions about their awareness of Clinton’s use of a private server. But despite their false statements, neither Abedin nor Mills were charged with lying to the FBI.

That’s in contrast with another Strzok interview subject: Retired lieutenant general Michael Flynn.

Strzok interviewed the then-national security adviser at the White House on Jan. 24 regarding Flynn’s conversations during the presidential transition period with Russian ambassador Sergey Kislyak.

Flynn pleaded guilty earlier this month to lying to the FBI during that interview.

Strzok was picked to oversee the Russia investigation at the end of July 2016, several weeks after the Clinton probe ended.

If you'd like to discuss how insanely fucked up it is that Bruce and Nellie Ohr are entangled in this now, let's spark that one up too.....also outrageous. It only came out this week, 5th in command at Justice Department had a wife working for Fusion GPS and Bruce was going renegade setting up private meetings with Glenn Simpson. The same Glenn Simpson, mind you, who was pushing Russian propaganda for the Kremlin and paying journalists to run stories favorable to his clients.

This whole thing is so fucked beyond belief and people are just glancing at it like "who gives a shit?". It's kinda sad IMO. The abuse of power looks outrageous....OUTRAGEOUS.

Yeah, we don't disagree on that point necessarily. What educators are experts on, however, is designing curricula in a way that makes the most sense to learners.

If you're arguing for having people who are experienced in other areas saying, "By graduation, kids need to be prepared in X, Y, and Z," I'm fine with that. I also think that in 2017, it should be a conversation about what our nation's kids need when they're out of high school. The days of different kids from different states needing to be prepared differently, IMO, are long past.

At that point, you need to let educator do their job with designing learning targets, curricula, scope and sequence guides, etc. That's not happening currently.

Honestly this is getting absurd. "Aggressive" is vague as hell. Any interaction a high profile man has had with a woman in the last several decades is under the microscope now. They're better off not interacting with women at all, or wearing a bodycam at all times. Mike Pence might have the right idea after all.

How could they design a uniform curricula for the entire country unless they were also making a decision about what must be taught in substance?

The FBI has had a major reckoning where people have been disciplined. Are you forgetting this?

https://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/fbi-rudy-giuliani-leaks_us_5909f5a8e4b02655f84300fc

This had an actual effect on the election. Comey came out and talked about the emails right before the election and everyone was like why WTF? It was because FBI agents had leaked what was going on to Giuliani and others.

The idea that the FBI thing was one sided is insane. There were FBI agents actively sabotaging the Clinton Campaign.

What was the actual extent of the "political beliefs" of said FBI agents? Because all I'm seeing is that they called Trump an idiot via text message, and, well... Trump is a massive fucking idiot.

What the hell are you talking about? It wasn't Comey who came out and ratted out that liar (under oath) Huma Abedin. He sent a letter to the House Committee, and they published it. And the reason he sent that letter is that he swore under oath that he'd tell them if they found any more emails. He was stuck.

That whole situation was Human Abedin's fault. She swore in an affidavit that she had turned over all devices and documents that had emails on them, and that she had never sent them to any other person or devices. That was a lie since she'd sent them to her pervert husband. But, based on that sworn statement, Comey testified that they'd made a complete search and review.

In any case, it was the management/leadership at the FBI making the actual decisions and recommendations that was corrupt in favor of Hillary.

I'm just not sure if it's burying your head in the sand, or where you get the news, or the fact that main stream media (NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, CNN, etc.) just refuse to report on it.

This isnt simply a case of the Head of Counter Intelligence calling Trump "a fucking idiot". That'd be mild and non-newsworthy. A shitload of people hate Trump.

The issue is his text message refers to a meeting in Andrew McCabes office (2nd in command at FBI) in which he refers to an "insurance plan" in case Trump wins presidency. He also alludes to a conversation they had about Trump not likely to win the presidency "but they can't take that risk".

And again....I keep pointing this out. This dude was in charge of the FBI Counter Intelligence Department. The same Department that initiated the Trump/Russia investigation in summer of last year.

It's absolutely newsworthy and a catostrophic look for the FBI.

The cherry on top is Andrew McCabe bailing on his testimony yesterday after a different report surfaced about the Ohr shenanigans, and blamed it on a calendar mix-up.....which no one really believes.

This thing is ugly...and whether you despise Trump or not, using the FBI and DOJ as tools to sabotage an incoming administration is horrific.

I can't speak to leaks being given to Guliani, which should be prosecuted if it happened, but let's not conflate field agents in New York, investigating Anthony Weiner for sending dick pics to 14 year olds with our Head of Counter Intelligence at the FBI having a meeting in the FBI Deputy Director office talking about subverting Trump because he's "a fucking idiot". It's not even apples and oranges....it's like a hammer vs a grenade.

And that's just Strzok, McCabe, and Lisa Page. When you throw in the fifth highest ranking dude at the DOJ, whose wife worked for Fusion GPS, and was then demoted for his secret meetings with Glenn Simpson....we are talking about massive issues here.

It looks corrupt as hell. Period.

Totally wrong. They were worried the New York office would leak preliminary findings before any emails were even analyzed. Giuliani knew about it. He sent the letter so it would not leak and make the FBI look bad and make him look like he didn't have control.

Comey thought it was better coming from him. Just like demoting Strzok.

Strzok was head of counter intelligence and hadn't heard anything about Trump and Russia before Aug 15 when those texts were sent? Doubt it. He knew Trump was guilty then and he is talking about how the FBI has to protect democracy.

If what Republicans are saying was true he would have been fired. Instead he was demoted for embarrassing the Bureau.

The vanity Fair article is long but

ne argument that the F.B.I gave in response was that now that the circle had become much bigger, including agents in New York, the probability of a leak was high and would only increase once the request for the warrant was filed. “Yes, it was absolutely explicit that one reason for the letter was that the agents in New York would leak it,” says a Justice Department source. “That is a crappy reason. You can’t manage your people? And a leak would have been better than what happened.”

Comey did not want to write that letter before the election. He had to.

I mean if he was head of counter intelligence, he knew Trump was a traitor already by August. You think the probe was started by this guys animosity, but the animosity was more likely started by Trump/Russia. You are mixing up the cause and effect here.

Everyone knew Trump was mixed up with Russia. Fucking Paul Ryan was making jokes about it in June. Strzok knew before that. They needed an insurance policy against a President controlled by a foreign powers.

Cavatt, the mere fact he was demoted to HR, after banging an employee who isn't his wife, is really all you need to know about firing/demotion.

Again, the guy was fucking an FBI lawyer, while he's head of Counter Intelligence, and the dumbfuck is sending these texts over government cell phone.

And the dude banging his mistress, gets put in Human Resources. Human Resources. Just one more time because it needs to sink in. The guy fucking his mistress who worked in the FBI, a government agency, was moved to HR.

Like, was the IT Department full?

Human fucking Resources.

Dude, you're wasting your time. Deep down, Democrats don't give a flying fuck if Trump actually did anything wrong or not. They don't care if other Democrats engaged in the biggest political scandal since Watergate in order to wrongfully frame Trump. They truly, truly don't give a shit. Because morality to them is about protecting their party interests above all else. If innocent folks get wrecked in the process, who gives a fuck. As long as it could potentially result in more power to the Democratic party, everything is fair game. All that matters is that Trump goes down. You could have 100% irrefutable evidence that Trump was innocent of any Russia dealings and that Democratic higher-ups in the FBI, the CIA, Hillary, Obama, and the DNC all conspired to make sure Trump was framed... I mean 100% irrefutable evidence... and the Democrats on this board wouldn't give a flying rat's ass. Trump is guilty simply because that's the narrative they want to hear.
