Game 34 | Cavs (24-9) @ Warriors (25-6) Monday December 25, 2017 | 3:00 PM EST (Merry Christmas)

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Eh... he'd already lost the ball by the time he got bumped.

Is what it is. If LeBron hadn't sucked, and the team could finish around the bucket, it wouldn't have come down to the non calls.

What I do find disappointing is that these are what these games are supposed to be every time. Knock down, drag out battles that come down to the wire. But KD fucked all that up. Speaking strictly as a fan of the league here, KD robbed us of what could have been the best rivalry since Celtics/Lakers.
It was a reach-in foul across the body that caused James to lose the ball.

Lue is going to need to have a difficult conversation with Tristan sooner than later.

His complete and utter lack of spacing is at least tolerable if he’s dominating the offensive glass and providing some rim protection, but if what he’s shown since his return from injury is what he is now on D and the glass, he’s close to unplayable.

Shot 32% and were still right there until the final 30 secs. Frustrating but there were plenty of good signs at the same time. Ridiculous how much Green and Durant get away with inside.
Eh this game showed we still need a lot of work. Honestly it looked like the finals.

- Breakdowns defensively late in the 4th.
-Out rebounded in crucial situations.
- Odd rotations
- Our offense resorts to LeBron 30 feet from the hoop dribbling out the clock...while we're down.

Warriors 4th Quarter defense on the Cavs has been great going back to the finals.

This is why I say that type offense against teams like the Bulls, Nets, etc doesn't even matter. We need real offense against the Warriors or they'll lock us up.

LeBron dribbling that far away against KD doesn't favor us. We need him cutting and moving off the ball.

JR and TT are basically unplayable against the Warriors. We already knew this but it's clear

It was a reach-in foul across the body that caused James to lose the ball.

They showed the replay about six times. Ball was already off his hand.

Doesn't matter though. That play won't have any impact moving forward.

I'm still confused as to why Kevin Love, who had arguably been our best player all game, and who is also a lights out 3 point shooter and a dominant rebounder, was out of the game in the dying moment when they had a scrub rookie in Jordan bell in and they were grabbing OREBs every possession

Oh well. It was an overall good game. The Refs have been dicking the Cavs all season.
No because he generally just subtracts shots from Kevin Love.
Dude, you're talking about what happened earlier in the season when everybody was shitty.

I'd love to see Rose with an actual role.

So many overreactions to a game that means very little.

Agreed. On the bright side I really think having Crowder+Green for Durant defensive purposes are going to be godsends for this team. I know they didn't have Curry but it's not like we doubled Durant much either. Wade also is a big help against them defensively.

If IT can score 23-25 a game efficiently and fits well, I don't think we're in for another 5 game series. I think we can really battle them to 6 or 7 games. Still going to be extremely difficult to win 4 out of 7 but I think we have a better shot than we did last year.

Right? It's so blatantly obvious. If you say otherwise you're delusional. We just don't have the defensive talent or effort to beat this team 4 times out of 7 games. It's simply not possible.
IT helps this team ALOT. That 32% 3rd quarter is way less likely to happen with IT here

Kyle Korver played 21 minutes and got 2 shot attempts

I think the only thing that we really need to consider is do the Cavs value rebounding enough? I think it's an underated aspect of beating the Warriors way too many offensive boards

I get that. But then with T Kardashian we don’t have the spacing that makes guarding us difficult. Love was busting there balls on rebounding and dumb ass lue takes him out in crunch time. This team needs spacing. Idk what we’re gonna do about TT. Somebody help a brotha out!

They showed the replay about six times. Ball was already off his hand.

Doesn't matter though. That play won't have any impact moving forward.

No it wasn’t. Lebron drives, Durant reaches in and Lebron loses control of the ball. He takes one more step and gets tripped but until that reach he had control.

Cavs: weak at the rim against GS. Going to have to solve this problem.

Also have to consider that the JR hand injury has permanently affected his shot. Without the 3 PT shot, dude is just not a starter.

GS are doing a much better job of putting (Durant) in a position to (succeed) than the Cavs are doing with LeBron. At least I hope that's what it is, because this is simply how the LeBron - Durant match up plays out we don't have a prayer in the finals.

That's what it is, and it might not change anytime soon.

Also, LeBron has more than 50,000 NBA minutes on his legs. They don't last forever, the legs, no matter who you are.

LeBron's legs are not what they once were. And Golden State knows how to exploit that, and they have the depth and motion and versatility to do it.

Golden State has a better roster than we do, at least head-to-head they do. Durant benefits from that, LeBron suffers from it.

If LeBron were playing Durant's role for the Warriors and Durant was playing LeBron's role on the Cavs, LeBron would look much better and Durant much worse. Except maybe in regards to blocking shots.
