The Dog Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Had to put Loki down today. He wasn't responding to his treatment and I was facing bringing him in to the vet at minimum once per day to drain his bladder via catheter, a painful procedure not lessened by the fact that having his bladder fill up and being unable to urinate was painful in itself. After the vet told me my options, I sat there along with him in the room for about twenty minutes trying to figure out what to do. Watching him tremble a bit with each exhale made my decision for me. He was in obvious pain and that pain wasn't going away. It would probably only get worse.

Sometimes in life there are no good choices. I made a horribly tough one today, but it needed to be made. I just wish I had gotten a bit more time with him. Really rough going from diagnosis to death in less than two weeks. Didn't even know he was sick at the beginning of the month.

I am so sorry.

You made the only choice. You put him above yourself. You will see him again.

Oh boy, that's a tough one. It seems to happen so fast with animals. I'm really sorry for your loss.

My pet dog likes to chew bones so I am searching online to look for a dog bone that has more benefits and advantages. I'm thinking of having different types, brands, and flavors. Can anyone suggest to me for perfect dog bones?

Just an update, As I was searching online I saw these dog bones which has different types, brands, and flavors. Can anyone here in the forum share their thoughts or option about this product? It says that it's tasty and will keep your dog entertained. I'm open for more suggestions, though.

In my experience, deer/elk antlers tend to get the best reaction. Both of my dogs love(d) them. Just don't order one of the massive elk antlers, because there's a 100% chance you will stub your toe on it at least once a week for the rest of your life, and it was impossible for my German Shepherd to even make a dent in the one I bought him, which is about a foot long and probably weighs a couple of pounds.

Really sorry dude.

So my parents visited for Christmas and told me they wanted to go to Asheville for a day last weekend. What they didn't tell me is that they found and reserved a new puppy for me as a Christmas gift from a breeder in Asheville.

Calling her Zeda (zay-duh).

What a cutie!

Sandor loves her!

How cold can it get outside before a dog will like freeze to death if she sleeps out there? My mom is evil and refuses to let ours even come in the garage and I'm really worried about her.
