Game 37 | Portland Trail Blazers (19-17) @ Cleveland Cavaliers (24-12) |Tuesday 2nd January 2018

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Why haven't they added a point for the three that IT hit (but was called a 2)?

Tonight is a perfect example of the Cavs D this year.

Cavs D rankings by quarter
1st: 29th
2nd: 27th
3rd: 29th
4th: 11th

I don't want to be that guy, but the biggest reason the defense is better now is because Love is on the bench. We are just much better defending the point of attack without the unncessary trapping and over rotations.

Assuming we close this out strong, this is such a feel good game. I'm pumped. The reality of what IT can bring is setting in.

So many scorers on this roster, distribution of shots is going to be tough if they are ever all available together. IT could easily run the second unit, allows Wade to be rested, keep him fresh for when it really counts.

IT is truly amazing as this is the first game thread all season where nobody bitched about playing time for Cedi and Zizic.

yeah, it's really a relief to see him stepping (seemingly) right back into midseason form. I've had a feeling all year that Lebron had to be in MVP form and doing his superman act for us to really be among the top three or four teams in the league. With IT it's like, yeah, Lebron can step back a little and we are still a top team. We have some margin for error now.

TT flashing his old energy is nice too, gives us a lot more depth and looks...though not in love with what he does to the offensive spacing on the second unit. Hope Lue keeps giving Frye some minutes.

IT averaging roughly 32.2 PPG per 36 minutes after tonight.

Stadium announcer just called out the corrected IT 3.

I think Lebron circa 2012-2013 is just about the only guy in NBA history who could have dunked that alley-oop. Dwayne was experiencing a flashback.

Most years before that LeBron could have finished too... see the oop that Mo Williams threw to him against Portland at Portland in either '08-09 or '09-10, his shoulders were basically at the rim.

That's true. I thought about it for a second, but watching IT was too much fun and so it didn't matter.

Still, Cedi is gawd.
