Game #38 Cleveland Cavaliers (25-12) @ Boston Sucks (30-12) Jan 3rd 2018 8pm tip

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Had a feeling we'd look shitty tonight

Crowder can ball against the Warriors that's all that matters. We're gonna smoke these fools in the playoffs even when Hayward comes back. Let's be real.

Lue needs to do some work with figuring out lineups. Can't roll into the playoffs with basically just two lineups. With the wide variety of skill sets and depth of this team, there is no reason we can't match up with anyone on a night to night basis.

No reason this team should play tired when they are 14 deep when healthy and are 12 deep right now.

This game has bad loss written all over it. Back to back while the Celtics were well rested. Our rotations are still in flux as we try to find ways to make Tristan useful.

I hate how Marcus smart drains threes against us but shits the bed against everybody else.

Let's be HONEST.....If the Cavs would have traded Kyrie for fuckin Brogdon and Middleton literally the same 8 people would be in here making the completely opposite argument.

You're in a game thread. Deal with it. Middleton has had more 25 point games in like the last 35 days than Crowder has had in his entire career. Now I just guessed at that but if someone were to look that up Id bet I'm right.

Nets won again tonight.

This trade blows.

Dude, you post your love of Middleton in EVERY thread you get a chance.

Which is your right, I guess. Just don't understand what good it does. I don't think there's a poster on this board that DOESN'T know you would have preferred that move. It also doesn't change what happened, and, as @InBoobieWeTrust has told us, Kyrie told the Bucks he wouldn't re-sign there, so we don't even know if Milwaukee was a legit trading partner.

Pro tip: Come back and re-read this game thread with popcorn and an adult beverage after we eliminate the Celtics in the playoffs.
Pro-Tip

No one gives a damn about beating the Celtics. The fact we still can't dominate the regular season (compete for home court?) and show the consistent skills to beat the Warriors are most people's issue. Now's the time to build those habits to being able to do that. These ups and downs throughout the regular season proved last year that it doesn't work when we go up against a different monster and have to play hard/smart 48 minutes.

Screw the Celtics.

Celtics humbled the Cavs and told them to stay in the rear view...
Warren trying to get that contract with his high volume below average efficiency scoring.

Boston plays hard and tough defense....that keeps them in every game...that alone is going to make them a tough out...Does anyone really trust the Cavs? What kind of a team are they?

This post assumes the Cavs CAN overcome their deficiencies in the postseason against the most talented team ever, which we don't know to be true, whether they "build good habits" or not.

The one in the finals three years running.

Thats what we do here! But you gotta admit the Cavs are not what we hoped right now
No, but remember they were frustrating to watch last year -- but don't worry they were going to flip the switch. I understand it's a long season, but just some games the pure lack of effort is awful. They will make a trade or two before the deadline and hoping they can move some of this dead weight with the bad contracts and get a bit younger.

He plays like shit in the playoffs. ( or in the past he has )

Wow. These numbers are atrocious:
Love, 1-11
Crowder, 2-12
Wade, 2-10
Green, 3-11

That’s four guys attempting 44 shots, and making 8 of them. Guys- When it’s not your night, PASS the friggin’ ball.

Is this what happens to us, when the other team plays defense?

With nobody hitting anything, except Bron, Korver, and JR (sort-of), we needed Mini-me out there creating.

It was disturbing to me that Crowder seemed to lack effort tonight. Bad night is one thing, lack of effort another.
