Cavs are too slow to defend a team like GS...they are a perfect storm...beautiful offense and great defense...noteam is beating them this year
 
There is something wrong in Lue's understanding of the game and his enamor with TT. He thinks that playing ok defense and playing hard will always win games. Dude, a man with one eye can see that TT is fucking useless out there.

That's true but it's been a year and I still don't think he truly meshes with the team. If an upgrade is out there at SG, Korver or JR shouldn't hold the front office back from upgrading.

They competed the whole time, ran their usual offense, and ran their usual rotations,

They didn't toy with us. They outlasted us when we got tired/stagnated/and didn't cut down on mistakes/TO's late in the game.

They weren't out there clowning around like a pickup game for 3 quarters. That's what "toying" with would mean

Lebron was deadly playing off ball to start the game, then they fall back on the bad habits that will take superhuman individual performances to beat this team.

We do not play well with LeBron as the primary ball handler - his turnovers kills us.

Time for Dan/Koby to give him a better option. Frye is not against GS and Love got 4 fouls early which made things worse.

He meshes fine IMO. We just don't run very many sets any more.
 
IT had no legs. He was dying trying to defend in the 2nd half after being serviceable in the first half. Refs gave all kinds of calls to Golden State including botching no less than 3 out of bounds calls. Several no calls led to points the other direction.

I'm still optimistic if we play them in the Finals. We're still a shell of the team we'll be. Once we get LeBron out of chill mode and IT healthy for a month or two, we'll have a much better idea of what this team is. We still need something. JR needs to either not play or barely play, but I think we're only a good SG away, which is closer than I thought.

Brother I can’t answer that, Besides Jordan who’s a realistic option at this point. AD is a pipe dream, idk. And I don’t trust the Front office to figure it out.
 
btw, I love the defensive scheme against the Warriors. Durant, Curry, Klay cmbined for- 24/43 FG.

He slows the pace alot of times. IT not on a minutes restriction and I'm hoping Rose can give minutes to help keep the team playing at a good pace.
