The Jarvis Landry Thread: Bless 'Em

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What the hell is Dorsey doing? That's significantly more than he would have gotten on the open market. Worrisome given his reputation of throwing the Chiefs into cap hell.

They just used some of their ridiculous cap space to retain a talented player long-term. One that you can count on being on the field, is a great lockeroom guy, and will be a dependable target for a young QB. Boo fucking hoo.

They are already on the hook for $16 million guaranteed this coming season. Pile on $31 million guaranteed over the following for years & it comes to an average of guaranteeing about $7.5 million each season after the coming one.

By the time his 5 yrs is up our rookie Franchise QB will be looking for his new contract....

Would love to see how the guaranteed money is spread out. There is absolutely no context in just stating the numbers. NFL contracts can be front loaded, back loaded, incentivized. It’s much more complex.

For a position that you can find production from on Day 3 every year in the draft.

The WR corp has been a huge weak link for the Browns for many years, and probably hindered the development of prior QBs we spent high draft capital on. Finding good players there isn't as easy as you make it out to be.

Good. I’d rather spend money on board line elite talent that we know will perform rather than a bunch of maybes and overpaid old vets.

No denying how steep that is but the cash is simply there and it’s opportunistic.
