2018 NBA Playoffs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
I said before the season started, the Cavs should absolutely sign Rajon Rondo. He got a way below market value contract and ramps up his play at this time of year, every year.

Damn Rondo would look good as a Cav. I don't care that he can't shoot......he rebounds like a PF, gets to the hoop at will, and sets his guys up for easy baskets all day long. He would've been a perfect fit next to LeBron. I don't know how title contending teams could just let this guy casually sign with the Pelicans. And he's a dog.....which means the Cavs would have 1 dog on their roster if they signed him.

We would have had a backcourt rotation of Rajon Rondo, Isaiah Thomas and Derrick Rose. I'd pay to watch our players only meeting.

The Twin Era of basketball died in the ear 00s, man.

They were playing very well before Boogie got injured though, bro.

Also in the playoffs, they would have thrived even more as the games have slowed down a lot which would have favoured them!

I don’t see AD leaving this summer but banking on Booger coming back as the same player seems like a very risky bet

Achilles injury for a big. There’s a pretty decent chance he’s never the same
Gay looks fine and has the same explosion pre-injury. This injury could effect an aging 33-34 year old more than a 27 year old in my opinion.

Boogie doesn't even jump out there, he'll be sure to move around and dominate the paint, and etc. He's not out there banking on athleticism, the guy has legit basketball skills.

Cavs still could have gotten him. We didn't use the full MLE on Osman. Rondo only went for 3 mil.

I guess they wanted fuckin' Rose on the league minimum more? I never got the Rose acquisition personally.

I think the Cavs wanted to save money at that point though. Still irks me Evans went for as low as he did, and we wanted nothing to do with him. SMH..

He's easily our third best player, at least, on this roster.

I was actually surprised that Rose and Green signed for minimum at that time. I actually thought they were one more bad year away from being at that point in their career.

The problem with anyone over the minimum was we had to wait till after Cedi signed. We could lose Cedi over a miscalculation in salary, off by a couple 100k might have got him to go back to Europe. If he signed another European contract the buy out might have made it impossible to ever get him over here. The window to get him over here was last summer.

I actually think once Cedi was signed, the thinking was to keep the rest of the MLE for Wade. The writing was on the wall that he would get bought out, I don't think we ever thought it was going to be before the season started. I think that played to our advantage in getting him to sign for a minimum contract, he just got a fat buy out check. The difference didn't seem like much between rest of the MLE and actual vets minimum (not the cap hit number).

They're about to go up 2-0 in the first round of the playoffs. I dunno how you can argue adding DeMarcus Cousins makes no difference. Even if it doesn't, no way will New Orleans or Anthony Davis believe it this summer.

Who has argued that?

But people just blatantly ignoring that he tore his Achilles and the track record for returning from that injury needs to be accounted for

Blazers fire-sale?

All these teams that have star back-courts and average to below average front-courts are getting their asses kicked.

Godfather, who said something like the age of twin big men is over and this team isn't going anywhere.

The way Pelicans have defended Dame is some of the best guard defense I have seen.

Individually, Jrue has been amazing. But the bigs be it AD or even Mirotic for that matter have blitzed and hedged perfectly whenever Dame has the ball. A true masterclass on how to defend the PnR.
