I do. We are a better team than the Celtics right now, we just have not played like it the first two games. Our role players will step up more today...this being a home game will make a big difference. We are winning tonight and you can put money on it.I think this is it. Ive been thinking on this game and I just don't see a good outcome tonight.
The Celtics were NEVER the "better team". Sorry. I didn't buy that for one fucking second.
The Celts basically got "bad LBJ" in game 1. And we also lost the game in the 1st quarter. That was a throwaway game almost. And then I think the team just assumed we would game 2 because LeBron...and then the 2nd half happened and we were just utter dogshit for no reason. We should be up 2-1...we had control of game 2 and that 2nd half was so weird...
I just feel like the Cavs, including LeBron which was the main issue, were poorly prepared for the Celtics. I feel like we just didn't properly respect them. Games 1 and 2 felt like Games 3 and 4 of the Toronto series in 2016. "I've been in a lot of adverse situations and this isn't one of em" is the famous LBJ quote...
If LeBron plays the way he did on both ends, I really dont see how the Celtics can win even another game. They really shouldn't score more than like 95 in a game unless they get insanely hot and even then we should still be able to outgun them.
Cavs really SHOULD win this in 6. I feel like we can easily win 3 more straight....with both teams personnel where it currently stands, I think we should beat Boston every single time we play unless it's a massive fluke type of game. We are better and I still cant believe Boston is up 2-1.
Lets be very careful about overreacting to one game....
I think you may be right but I need to see it in G4 now. And we still need to win one in Boston.
I felt this way after game 1 and 2 to be honest I just stayed away because I would have gotten pounded with disagrees and demands for Lue's head, lol.
I agree, game 4 is a must win. Boston will throw the kitchen sink at that game but I really think we should be able to replicate at least 85% of tonights performance without much of a problem. Like we didn't even play well in like 4-5 areas that I KNOW we can play wayyyy better in. We STILL haven't protected the ball at all-14 turnovers tonight. IF we clean up the turnovers and really play OUR best basketball the Celtics wont have a chance. Like if we could have one of those 5-6 turnover games, hit our normal 12-16 threes at at least 38%..we will win by 15.
No its as simple as LeBron playing great defense. It's not so much if the cavs are better than the celtics, the problem is that the celtics have athletic = off the bounce, perimeter players all over the place who also happen to be solid two way players, the kind that give the cavs problems and negate many of the things the cavs like to do.
