2018 NBA Playoffs

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Houston really is built to beat the Warriors. The Harden+CP3 backcourt is a huge weapon because the Warriors backcourt NEVER gets outplayed basically but now finally we're in a series where it's a nightly battle and they can easily get outplayed by the Rockets backcourt any given night. Capela does a GREAT job matching up with Draymond with his speed and athleticism.

They have 3 great options to guard Durant 1v1. Ariza, Tucker and Mbah a Moute. Ariza is the perfect 3 and D guy for the league basically. Good shooter and really great glue guy type of player. These guys are actually way better at defending Durant than LBJ, because Durant's much more perimeter oriented and such.

All I know is this: There is a reason why GETTING TO the finals is so important. Because anything can happen.

Make no mistake, this Houston team is better than the Cavs and the Cavs would rightfully be heavy underdogs.

But with GS...we saw a playoff series against them last year...when we had Kyrie and his 30 PPG...and they killed us. We know how that story ends against a healthy GS team.

But as long as the Cavs can first GET there...now they have a Houston team...full of guys that have never been there before. Paul is no stranger to playoff injuries and Harden was very fatigued last season by this point of the year. Their offense relies a lot on role players making threes and once you get to the NBA finals...all bets are off as to which role players will show up and which ones will disappear.

And if the Rockets beat GS and we beat Boston...I feel like that takes them off the table for LBJ.. if we win the title he's obviously staying and if we lose to Houston in the Finals? He's definitely not gonna pull a Durant and give up money/status to go to the team that he just lost to..
I've said it before, but the reason I'd rather play Houston is simple, LBJ doesn't have to guard KD. That will be huge to play against a team where LBJ can conserve a little energy on defense and not have to do literally everything.

Houston has some great role players, but I feel like they are more one dimensional than GSW's. You know their roles and they can't get quite as creative as GSW's lineups. But if Cp3 gets to the Finals, I think he will really ball out on another level. He has been waiting to get to the Finals for so long.

Overall, we just match up so much better with Houston even if we are still underdogs talent wise.

Somebody check on Coach Nick from BballBreakdown. He said Curry went Super Saiyan in game 3 and that version of Curry was here to stay. Then he made a video explaining why Cleveland won't beat Boston when the series was 0-2. The series is now 2-2.

Harden choked too y'all...Chris Paul was a warrior that game.

Houston winning twice makes me ashamed that we only took the series to 5 last year with LeBron and Kyrie.

To be fair....1: Houston is built specifically for the Warriors and it's showing...they match-up better and have 3 guys to throw at Durant whereas we literally relied on Richard Jefferson or asked LeBron to not only carry the offense completely but to guard the 2nd best player in the league...and we STILLLL should have gone at least 6 tho I agree with you. But the main reason it didn't was because we didn't have that one guy not named LBJ to at least physically match up with Kevin Durant and he just got open jumpers over short guys or constantly got easy layups or got to his exact spot on the floor for easy short baskets. He toasted Thompson off the dribble constantly and forced a lot of switches onto Kyrie who would always switch because he died on the screen and just gave up and then Durant basically dribbled 3 times and got a lay-up and this happened like 4-12 times a game in different forms.

Also Warriors are a totally different team with a healthy Iguodala who is playing well. He was basically really good against us in the Finals last year(and in 2015 too...no surprise in 2016 when we won he struggled massively at times...but he a bitch and LBJ's chasedown is still in his head and affects him on fast break plays to this day...

But to get either injured/bad Iggy or no Iggy at all is an underrated but extremely important reason why Houston has been so competitive and why they won the last 2 games.

I am a bit surprised the Warriors didn't send Zaza out for 8-12 to basically play dirty and beat/foul the shit out of Capela to try and set the tone early. I feel like they;d benefit from that. Or David West...or both...feel like both are better playoff options than Looney or even Jordan Bell who had a good box score but who I thought murdered their offense with rookie mistakes and overly tentative play.

Crazy the Warriors and Cavs are both tied 2-2, with game 5's coming up on the road. And honestly both are probably still favored to win their respective series' despite being lower seeds and being tied 2-2 without HCA... Especially since it looked like, at this time last year, that Cavs Warriors 4.0 was a LOCK.

Then Houston got CP3 and the Cavs traded Kyrie with a draft pick as the centerpiece and then did not trade the pick for a player mid-season.

Still think it's gonna be Cavs Warriors tho. and we gonna lose :(

Also, man did that finish look familiar. Shades of G7 2016 the way the Warriors, Steph especially, just hunted threes down the stretch.

And for as great a coach Kerr is, and I do think he's really good, some of the decision-making down the stretch in close games is HIGHLY questionable. How do you not call a timeout when Klay is stuck in the corner? I'm not sure this was his call, but with the Warriors settling for iso possessions down the stretch, how does KD not touch the ball? Steph was 1-4 in the last 4 minutes, Klay 0-2. KD took one shot and missed.

KD is your best shotmaker. Give him the ball.

We were one last minute BS KD three from making that series 2-2. Houston was in a similar situation tonight but they got the 50/50 clank.

And we were in control and found a way to lose it right at the end. 9 times out of 10 that series gets tied.

And we also had to play against Iguadala too.

Honestly I'm cool with putting George Hill on CP3. We can throw JR, Cedi, and Jeff Green on Harden. Nobody else on their team is a real creator. Gordon has the ability to but he can be held in check.

He’d be so much better if he didnt suck The Warriors collective cocks...and if Lebron didn’t f*ck his mom

It looks like Curry and Durant still don't know how to effectively play off of one each other.

The more games, the more these teams will come be banged out and hurt. And we get to see good, physical playoff basketball. Everyone wins!

BTW, D'Antoni only played 7 tonight like a boss!! :eyesemoji:
