Jeff Green: Old

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
This man certainly rose to the challenge tonight, and he justified Lue's faith in him. Hopefully he wants a ring bad enough to bring it for another series, it seems like he wants it bad enough in the post game interview tonight. He has the tools, and he appears to have the drive and desire. Those can be a big piece to help us overcome the odds.

Really let the game come to him tonight. It wasn’t too big for him, and that three after the Tatum dunk was huge.
Good job Jeff

I hope we can find a way to keep him next year. Lue plays him more than he should, but he's still a valuable role player.

great game for him. plays shouldn't boil down to him shooting 3s but he came through when we needed him most.

Well...a vet minimum contract player just saved our season with a fucking clutch, awesome game 7 performance.

Between attacking the rim and getting and-1's, blocking guys at the rim, switching all over the perimeter to stop Boston, hitting massively important threes after missing multiple easy looks. Tatum singlehandedly erases our lead and puts Boston in Front with 5 minutes left and what does Jeff Green do: Instantly hits a CONTESTED THREE to give us a 2 pt lead again and we never looked back after that.

Props to Green for finally having a meaningful playoff moment in a big stage. usually he's been a disappointment. But not tonight.

Props to Lue for sticking to his guns on Green. I personally thought he was crazy and wanted Green mostly out of the rotation. Instead he basically replaces Kevin Love's role and production(and not bad KEvin Love...he replaced GOOd Kevin Love's production...19-8 on 50% shooting. Brilliant game.

And to think people said Green was a bad signing...

Unbelievable. The amount of vitriol this guy has gotten from much of this site is just so puzzling. Most of them coming from the same people that thought Jae Crowder was a great player.

On that note, let me shout this from the mountain tops real quick:

JEFF GREEN IS BETTER AT BASKETBALL THAN JAE CROWDER. FIGHT ME

His speech is slow and tired but you can feel the emotions around it. It's happy, content, and ecstatic to be a player who helped a team and a Living Legend to get in the Finals once again. You can hear it's what he wants in his long career all along. So happy for the guy.

I thought Jeff has been great for us all season in that LeBron backup/poor man's LeBron off the bench role. He was killing it with the Wade bench during that win streak.

Lue just put him in position to fail at times. Like turning him into a spot-up three point shooter or putting him at center. Paid off tonight though.

He is erratic, but the ability has always been there for him to play at an All Star level. As an adaptable defensive option he should be very useful against whoever they face in the finals.
