I really don't think it's fair to go back on drafts and go you miss this guy, you miss that guy.. It's REALLY easy to do this and you can say this about every single team.
Orlando traded Olidpo and OKC traded him. Three years at Orlando and one year at OKC and he was a good piece but not an All-Star. He shot an average of .433 and averaged 15.7 points with 4.1 rebounds and 3.6 assists. It wasn't until he got to Indiana where he was the main man where he really flourished. 14 other teams passed on Giannis. That draft was pretty weak.
Green lasted until the second round so it's not like NBA teams knew he'd be this good. Drummond had a lot of questions and you already had Kyrie Irving so why draft another point guard in Lillard? They needed a SG, C, and a SF. They went with a SG. Drummond could have worked, but you know about how he was unplayable near the end of games until recently when his free throw shooting was horrendous.
Cavs tried to get back into the first round to get Klay... https://basketball.realgm.com/wiret...pson-By-Dealing-For-Third-Top-10-Pick-In-2011
Jimmy Butler averaged just under 3 points the first year and 9 points the second year. And he was the last pick of the first round so again, almost everyone but one team passed on him.
And really did anyone see Kawhi being this type of player except for Pop? He fell down to 15th and Indiana gave him up for George Hill. In fact, at the time of the trade, people were saying Indiana won the trade.
Embiid had a lot of questions on his injuries and he sat two years.. Two years... People seem to forget that. The Cavs had a few good young players and Wiggins was considered by many to be the number one prospect that year.2014? We drafted Andrew Wiggins over Joel Embiid.
2013? We drafted Anthony Bennett over Victor Oladipo (some idiot in an IU Hoosiers cap looked up from his pork tenderloin while I typed this), and Giannis Antetokounmpo,

2012? Dion Waiters over Damian Lillard, Andre Drummond, and Draymond Green

2011? Well I mean you nailed Kyrie Irving, and Thompson probably helped you contribute to a championship. HOWEVER....you passed on the likes of Klay Thompson, Kawhi Leonard, and Jimmy Butler.
