I am not exactly super excited about the prospect of bringing Dez on board, but when the other options are Rashard Higgins, Jeff Janis, and Damion Ratley... I think we should at least be thinking about it. :chuckle:

I'd imagine Dez is the plan after Josh Gordon.

You don't want or need both of those guys. As Dez is pretty well just an X with no position flexibility and a declining skill set.

If Gordon drops off the cliff, I get it.

But until then, I don't see the point.
 
Dez is beyond washed and a complete pain in the ass.

Hard, hard pass.
 
Tyrod Taylor and Todd Haley thrive with YAC guys, and Dez is maybe the worst in the NFL in YAC.

It's a terrible fit. Mega pass. Dez cannot move anymore and his route running has always been awful.
 
I'd prefer them doing this than what I witnessed in years past.

Seriously the "BUILD THROUGH THE DRAFT"/"WE'RE GOING TO RUN THE FOOTBALL WELL AND PLAY DEFENSE" mindset was beyond moronic. Probably set the franchise back a decade or so.

The last team I think that was able to pull that off was the 2000 Baltimore Ravens.

Seriously.. I've been a fan of Dez Bryant for awhile. I was surprised he got released, and still unsigned honestly.

His days as a number one receiver are over. We can all agree with that there. But as a number three receiver behind Gordon and Landry?

I would love it. Obviously only if the front office believes he can help, of course you do it.

Which I think he could on a 1-year deal. Worst case it goes bad, you simply cut him loose.
 
Give the guy a contract, but please also give him 16 envelopes and 16 stamps, representing the games he will mail in just like Dwayne Bowe and Kenny Britt.

He’s not washed enough where if you add him to Gordon and Landry he won’t still be fucking ridiculous. Did you see Dallas WR group last year??
