Week 1 2018 |Browns vs. Steelers

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
What if we tie all games. Would we make the playoffs? LOL
Tying all your games is about the equivalent of going 8-8, right? So it’s not out of the question :chuckle:

Our inability to get the ball to any playmaker was wild. You can't get some slants to Gordon and see if he can make something happen?

Can anyone explain why they eliminated double overtime?
The stated reason was because they wanted to prevent injuries. Same reason they reduced OT from 15 mins to 10.

But double overtime (and beyond) only happens in the playoffs. Regular season has always only had 1 OT.

I was in a bar full of objective Niner fans who eventually stopped watching the Niners and the other four games on the screens and watched the Browns. Yes, the Browns offense is a nightmare, but I heard universal praise for the Browns defense. If you can't appreciate the potential of this defense and the end of the losing streak, warts and all, you are just denying yourself at the opportunity to enjoy the Browns. I can't help you with that. I just watched a room full of ambivalent fans see promise.

Honestly Keys, I think you're one of the best posters here, but this is just a pure loser mentality.

Steelers straight up offered that game to the Browns on a silver platter. They did everything they could possibly do to lose and the Browns, despite overhauling 65% of last year's 0-16 team, STILL couldn't capitalize and actually win a game.

It's ok to be upset when your team blows a game they should have won.

The defense played great today outside of the 3rd quarter, where they got absolutely destroyed.

However, I don't expect many more games that include 6 turnovers, constant rain, and a backup RB to occur. It's hard to get a good grasp on the defense based off today because it was such a funky game. Not to mention, the safety(s) playing so deep STILL is very discouraging to me.

I haven't made this conversation personal, but you really should have had a different expectation going into this game. I can't help you with that. The last fifteen years of losing in the third quarter always meant the Browns mail it in.You talk like this is a normal franchise with six turnovers. It's not, it's the Browns playing a top five franchise. It didn't happen with this team. I like that, and Browns fans should like that. Good luck with all your mental baggage, I hope you shed it.
