Cleveland Browns 2018 Season Thread

Do Not Sell My Personal Information
Well look at it this way

If he does catch on there and doesn’t screw up yet another opportunity it would be hilarious watching him torch the stoolers in the playoffs

Anything we can do to make the stools life a little harder is alright in my book

Sending him to the Pats? The team that intentionally fucked us by taking less than our offer in a trade for Jimmy G...and not because it was within the AFC, but because he didn't want to ruin his career by sending him to Cleveland?

I'd say eat a dick, Belichick.

Truthfully, idgaf where he goes, Callaway is my man now.

But for real, this receiving core, IMO, is still pretty good even without Gordon. Landry, Higgins, Callaway is pretty decent and they have all produced in the NFL. I'm feeling pretty good rolling with those three.

The key to fill that void is for Njoku to remove his head from his ass.

The details of the Jimmy G offer were complex and rehashed here often. Brady and Jimmy have the same agent, so there were influences at play out of the Patriots hands. We also learned from that situation that the Browns front office had gained a reputation as being difficult to consummate a major trade. That has since changed.

While the main players are gone from the Jimmy G trade, the Browns are only hurting themselves if they don't look at each transaction as its' own entity. Trying to gain retribution for past transactions can lead you to compounding mistakes.

Browns are a ways from competing......Gordon will be out of the league when it matters for Cleveland. If they are offering the best compensation (pick or player), that's where he goes.

The sign of a good front office is the ability to swallow their pride and to do what is best for their own organization.

Some of guys need to get your emotions in check, man. Josh Gordon had 7 fucking chances with this team. Sounds like sour grapes over the fact that he's likely headed to the Patriots.

Be honest - we couldn't play this chess match forever. The fact that he's going to an elite team doesn't change that. Take the best trade package and move on. This guy has been an albatross over the organization for years.

He was never going somewhere like Arizona or Tennessee, folks.

Dan Bailey turned us down, turned a few teams down matter fact, but he's taking the Vikings job, don't blame him.

Kickers are such a crapshoot. I feel like they're similar to closers in baseball. Just random bullshit.

Him going to New England, if anything, makes me feel comfortable that we are getting the best deal we possibly can. Because you know we don't want to trade him to New England.
