We also signed Rod Streater. I wish we went after Braxton Miller or someone that might get some YAC. We will be Streaters 5th team, I feel like he is washed up.
 
I can only guess Dorsey assumes Gordon won't make it under Bellichek, so upgrading from a 7th to a 5th was the best he could do.

When push comes to shove, Josh Gordon has enough talent to get a 5th from most teams in the league IMO.

My guess is others were dragging their feet as a negotiating tactic, NE was the first to step in and get talks moving (offering a 5th) and the Browns just did it.

I don't think there was much thought beyond that but again, just my opinion. In situations where a team wants to move on from a player, the first to offer a reasonable pick is typically the one who gets the player.

If they know that he's done like Bynum was, sure. If it's still possible that he blows-up with Brady, then I don't think so.

Streater is an on again, off again starting outside WR. He has the size and speed but could never stay healthy. Give him a test drive, don't buy the car.
 
I kind of wanted them to go get a return specialist, myself, but oh well. Streater isnt very good but hes probably better ATM than Damien Ratley.
 
Streeter is just a practice body. Wouldn't expect him to play at all.

Amazing that Gordon and Streater both entered the league in 2012 and were thought to have #1 receiver potential, both disappointed more than they acheived. Streater has played in ten more games somehow.

I'm not sure, but it's interesting that a GM/coaching staff who doesn't seem to have issues jettisoning the past regime's players is having trouble letting go of DeValve. He hasn't contributed much of anything & still finds himself among the 53.
